I guess so. But still if i was you id make it so that if anyone makes a thread tellin people to vote for em, they get disqualified. but that is just my useless, uncalled for 2 cents so Ima go back in the kitchen where i belong and start makin a sandwich like a good woman.
 
Actually, while posting in other forums to get people to vote may help get more traffic in SO and perhaps more people visiting forums besides their 'home base', I would agree it's a pretty pathetic stunt worthy of self-disqualification. But that's my 1 cent (ain't half as good as lacey sense ... scents ... cents).

It's being handled. After this round doing that is verboten. An announcement is forthcoming. :)
 
I figured all was fair in love and war. I'm a competitive person; I can't help that.
Won't happen again though.

I'm hoping my aggressive marketing campaign doesn't turn people away from creating avatars for me... :(
 
My fellow mods toyed with the thread I created way back in round two. Lacey was even kind enough to put up a picture of Bart Simpson writing on a chalk board that said. "I will not make DC my personal playground."

Classy.
 
I really didn't care that you did it. I didn't say anything when enod and happus did it last round, so I can see why you would do it this round.

The only thing is that if I don't stop it it's going to happen every round, and then everyone is going to have to do it if they want to win. I can see it escalating and getting out of control, and also being totally unfair to people without mod powers.

So no worries about this past round :). It wasn't against the rules then.

btw, once again I'll keep this round open for submissions until we get a decent number of them.

Yeah, people need to find time to make them, and it also takes a little while. I'll definitely be submitting one, I'm just kinda busy, it being monday and all. Don't worry though, this will stay open until you get a nice selection.
 
That April 26th deadline seems kind of short then, doesn't it?

Sorry, I'm just a little concerned / excited about getting as many new avatars as I can!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
