I have plenty of both meds but I noticed when I get up in the morning I would rather have a klonopin then a xanax. Which is like weird cause I was just complaining to you guys the other day about how kpin's were not working. Does anybody else seem like this is odd?

The klonopin is seeeming to knoxk out my anxiety. I guess I was going thru a placebo effect and now just realize that this med is to help me cope with anxiety, not totally erase it.

It's not a placebo effect. Clonazepam (Klonopin) and alprazolam (Xanax) are both very effective benzos.

Different ones will work for different people. Clonazepam is a much longer acting benzo than alprazolam is, and is therefore more suited for managing anxiety. Alprazolam is better suited for killing panic attacks.

i used to prefer xanax ovr klonopin., i used to feel like klonopin produced no relaxtation/euphoria...years laters, as of today i took 4 xanax bars, didnt feel any effects or relief at alll (tolerance is high), on other regular days when i take 8mg klonopin (equivalent to 4 xanax bars) i feel the buzz/relief ery strong, and kicks in faster then xanax does..

Clonazepam has a variety of great benzodiazepine properties: strong and rapid-acting anxiolysis, great muscle-relaxant, the sweet, minty taste almost leaves you with no choice, but to chew em' up or take it sublingually (rivals the rapid action of alprazolam). It's like a more potent diazepam; stronger anxiolysis with less sedation, anti-convulsant, and definitely euphoriant, but diazepam takes the win on euphoria.

Alprazolam is definitely effective like NT said, but clonazepam is beneficial overall. Xanax once took the win for me, but clonazepam > xanax

clonazepam and alprazolam are both equally MG to MG as strong as eachother. if ur addicted to 8mg of xanax daily, then 8mg of klonopin to convert will leave u feeling fine with no withdrawl, u may now feel that jolt that xanax gives as it kicks in within 5-10mins, and wears off within 4 hours, but with klonopin it has such a long half life that u can take less then 8mg daily and still feel fine as it builds up more and mor ein ur system witht he half life, eveb if u take 8mg xanax daily, u can take even 6mg kpin ther next day and not experience any withdrawl...klonopin is very strong, IMO stronger then xanax

A placebo effect is when you take something that actually does nothing, but you feel it is improving your condition just because of the power of suggestion. Klonopin is not a placebo. Did you mean a reverse placebo effect? Like it was doing something but you didn't believe it or realize it until now?

Craving Klonopin over Xanax doesn't seem weird to me, different people have different drug preferences.

I also don't think it's that weird to crave a drug that you think isn't doing much for you, I've had it happen to me before.
