Cracker jack

We have a drug in my home town the kids call 'cracker jack'
They say that once you've taken it, you never can go back
I took it once to prove them wrong, and never did I fiend
(It's not a habit if there's always one month in between)
But after I stopped taking it, those kids had the last laugh
When they perceived a decreased speed and errors in my craft
I take my vites, and ride my bike, and someday will be whole again
So long as I refuse to let the cracker take control again
I've lost my smarts, but I've still got heart, and I'll kick your ass at a game of darts
