Crack Pipes.

Personal preference is a glass steamroller (shotgun) pipe with cone or tulip bowl. I put gauze in the barrel not loads though, and a ball of gauze in the bowl. Next what I am going to explain is how I make it my airtight rig , keeping the gauzes in barrel/tube and bowl, get small peice of tin foil just enough to seal wrap around the bowl and cover the open bowl, put small rock or better crushed rock on foil and make sure it's centred into the bowl keeping pipe bowl opening down, wrap foil tight hold pipe with foil facing down keep finger over rush hole of the barrel, and warm up the foil with soft flame lighter , you'll notice that the only thing you inhale is crack smoke as foil wrapped around bowl has made it air tight so no air or oxygen is inhaled , crack should last a bit longer this way , please don't confuse me with the plastic bottle straw and tin foil ash pipes as this is different.
Also once the smoke is done you can then use a turbo jet flameighter on the foil and you can get some good hits.
Also if you are outside or in other windy conditions you can try a different method with the steamroller pipe , by putting gauze into barrel in the mouth end up just before hole in bowl , and drop rock into barrel through rush hole onto gauze just past bowl hole so not rock falls out , then pipe so bowl faces downwards in get soft flameughter Zippo or such windproof preferably, hold flame in bowl and inhale so sucking flame into barrel onto to crack rock melting then warming crack to smoke, having the pipe upside down to regular pipes creates a barrier so flame of lighter doesn't blowout in windy gusty conditions. And the gauze catches plenty of resin for extra bits. Also rubber tube for Bunsen burners can be attached to the mouth end of pipe at a desired length to create a churchwarden athle pipe and use candle or such on a coffee table or desk to warm the crack to melt to smoke

It's not a mint taste it's called minted it's caused from poor quality,to much soda, crack in the pipe or two much heat. It leaves a black residue that tastes like shit. You get a ton of smoke but no euphoria cause you burn the chemical in the product off.
 
I beieve Matt Southwell recently mentioned that he and a group of users designed several different crack pipes.

Honestly, I really have no understanding of how people use freebase cocaine but his post was along the lines of different users strongly favouring a specific design. I think it a good idea as previously it was recognized that some injecting drug users were concerned that some of the gear was left in the syringe so may have resorted to reusing their preferred works. Now Exchange Supplies offers 'low deadspace' syringes to address that concern. I expect the above (or items similar to them) will also soon become avaiable (if they aren't already).

If you use a straight glass pipe with 1/4-1/2 inch chore, slow evenly distributed heat as you inhale steadily and slowly then minting should never be an issue
 
I hit that shit one time in my life. I can still taste it when I think about it. It did not taste minty as all. It tasted like horseradish with a hint of gasoline and cucumber mixed with burnt molasses and plastic.
 
Your lucky !in the last couple weeks off one dealer and I was back and forth to his go get it as couldn't get a hit didn't put the pipe down as it was weaker than usual even though I put loads of cash in , then went to a dealer known longer but not about all the time and got .5 and had a few inhales then I went WOH !! And got big high and bellringer which not had for ages and put the pipe down in shock , I know to score of the dealership I knownonger from now on, and isn't it obvious why I say to myself!! 😔

It can be more than frustrating hitting the pipe ESPECIALLY when you have scored weak strength gear, and going on it for ages with no decent hit (bellringer)

To me it tasted so "refreshingly clear" like in the 7UP commercial and then -of course- I tasted the cigarette ash.

If I ever -or is it 'when'?- I smoke base again, I will likely do so from a crack pipe, but without the cigarette ash, likely with more screens.
