i just got a new rx of purdue oxycontin 20mgs (pink)

ive read through all the mega threads and all that and i had two questions

1. i didnt know about the new formula of time release that makes it non abusable. i read a post that said simply to remove the pink coating, crush it up as fine as possible and parachute/snort. i did that, and the pill did not seem waxy or plasticy when i crushed it. i did feel something, but i only did a pill to be safe so i dont know if what placebo or not.

question: does it sound like i might have had the old purdue oxy 20s since it wasnt waxy and didnt really burn or anything OR do the new ones break down and crush but are just like chemically unabusable?

2. how many mg's would i have to take to feel equivalent to 30-40mgs time released? i used to be scripted hydrocodones and took up to 50mgs, so im trying to see how many oc 20's i would need to feel them orally since they have a new forumlation...

so basically, is the new formula recognizable easily (like does it remain waxy and will not become powder) and how many mgs would give the feeling of 30-40mgs of IR instant oxycodone?

for your 1st question:
if the imprint is OC | 20 than they are the old formulation if they are OP | 20 than they are the new formula..

im not too sure what you mean by your 2nd question.
if you crush up 2 20's that would be 40mg's but if you wanted 40mg by not crushing just figure it out by if they are the old formula the 20mg is delivered evenly over 8hrs, new formulation over 12hrs.. so if they are over 8hrs than:
1-20mg pill= 2.5mg/hr
2-20mg pills= 5mg/hr
3-20mg pills= 7.5mg/hr
4-20mg pills= 10mg/hr
and so on.. i don't know if that helps at all. but you may be able to answer your question with the info i just gave you.. remember tho, if you took 4 pills you would reach 40mg at the 4hr mark, but it would continue to increase to 80mg after 8hrs have passed (doubling your intended dose, making it easy to OD).. so don't take more than you can handle just to reach a certain dose time released.. i think it would be safer and easier to crush 2 20's and parachute them so it is instant release and you are at the dose you want without the dangers of the dosage continuing to increase over time after you reach your intended dose.

I'm not sure if what i wrote is easy to understand, im going through benzo w/d from my taper dropping and my mind feels all scrambled, and i am having trouble putting what im thinking into words, sorry if i don't make sense
