couple heroin questions

These questions have probably been answered... so flame me. I'm unsure.

I have a couple questions pertaining to gear...

An issue i never really looked into (because i never was particularly interested in opiates) is about nodding off. Is this supposed to happen? It doesn't exactly feel very safe...

Is taking an antihistamine (like Benadryl) to fight itchies safe with H? Nodding off + Benadryl would make you pretty damn sleepy, and i don't know if falling sleep is something you wanna do when nodding off. Wont you stop breathing?

Also, my last question, What's a good starting (snorting, not IV) dose of H for someone with no tolerance with opiates.

For anyones concern i do have experience with opiates, just nothing past OCs (even then i never went past 30mg... on account of availability).

lol, out of the grace of lack of availability in my area i'm unable to become addicted to it. Opiates of any kind are a sort of yearly treat where i live (hard to believe i know). So i'm getting some, gonna try it out.

if you wanted to know, the drug of choice here seems to be meth. And i'm not much for stims.

edit: In all seriousness, i'd like someone to answer my questions (as naive as they may be), i'm determined to take H and just want some help on harm reduction ;)

Nodding off is pretty common, it's just another aspect of H use, if you're being cautious in the first place (and you should be), I don't really see how nodding itself is a problem.

I would say start with 20-30mg. That should suffice for your first time.

Plz, be careful. H is pretty serious drug. Sticking to snorting, might also be a good idea if you wana try H.

I dont know how many times ive nodded off and then just went to sleep or passed out , i definatly wouldnt add benedryl to a first time opiate experience as they do make each other quite stronger along with the buzz . and taht way your just going to pass out before experiencing the high of your drug .

from what ive read with snorting is that you basically just take small bumps until you start to feel your at a place you like to be , you gauge your own high , nobody on here is going to be able to tell you exactly how much to take . theres too many variables like purity , your tolerance , how often you do them etc that changes for everybody . so what someone else may be able to may make you OD ..

and yes nodding off is perfectly normal as for falling asleep and not waking back up .. thats why its not bright to do too much . whyve you chosen to do heroin over something else for your first opiate experience ill never know .. but just take it slow little bumps ..

I dont know much about H but I do know that the one danger with opiates that I have concern for is falling asleep or nodding out on my arm and eventually cutting all circulation of to the point of rendering my arm useless, I do this often while sober(obviously waking up in time) but while intoxicated im not so sure about this .

It has been recommended to myself that you start out with match-head size chunks of H. If you did that with the stuff here youd probably get nothing out of it, but if you get some fire shit that would be plenty so start out slow and seriously dont start IV'ing. OC used to be a rare thing for me but then a source popped up within 2 minutes walking distance from my house(as opposed to a 3 hour train ride) and I picked up a needle and that was the end of me. Its so easy to get carried away with anything.

Ive actually done that before where ive nodded off over a limb .. usually i havnt done enough to actually stay unconscious to do any damage , i think the longest my limb remained numb for was about 5 minutes and normally my body will wake me up shortly before that point , ive actually woken up with BOTH of my arms completley number and believe me when your coming out of that coma not being able to use your arms to push you up out of bed is an extremly odd feeling ..

but again remember that usually your brain sends signals to wake you up incase this does happen . ive only heard of 1 instance where the damage was permenant but the guy OD'd and was left in his garage until he woke up or something wierd like that ..

Lol, I remember that thread...

I've heard about it before, called 'Saturday Night Syndome' or something, the first time I heard about it the guy had OD'd in his chair and lost his leg. :\

Ketman, this is EXACTLY what happened to me, and I freaked out. Only, it was from mixing alcohol and xanax(stupid I know) How you usually wake up and re-adjust you position, I slept on my arm all night. I really thought I fucked myself up because the whole next day my arm was numb/useless. What scared me even more, was that my hand was semi-numb/tingly for almost 2 weeks. Some of my buddies thought I had suffered a stroke or something, but it eventually went back to normal...never the less, scared the shit outta me!

thanks for your help man. I was gonna do a line or something :\ Now i know just to take bumps.

If ya really wanna know why i'm doing this over other opiates it's because it's almost the only available opiate as compared to pharms or opium. God i'd love to try opium.

And i've done 80mg+ codeine, Vicodin, OCs, and tramadol. But it's only when it's around... which is rare.

Yea he was laying on the limb for something like 12 hours ..
That happens. So does permanent brain damage due to oxygen deprivation, which can lead to paralysis. Thing is, we don't really have stats to know how common permanent damage from opiate OD's are. :\

"Saturday night palsy"
I lost all use of the fingers on my right hand for a few months, had to undergo physical therapy and all that, because I nodded/passed out with my arm precariously slumped over edge of a wood futon; pinching the nerve. Its something to watch out for, thats for sure.

Damn... gotta watch myself when nodding off then!

Is consciously having to breathe when nodding off common? Happened to me when on OCs.

Sometimes it can be common if the user does too much or if they start to panic when their nodding off , thats usually the cause that ive seen on the board mentioned by some other people .

Other times it can be if the user is nodding off alot more than normally do and sometimes it can be caused by apnea when you start falling asleep ive had that happen to me a couple of times before as well ..

i have read about a case where i man did to much heroin and nodded out kneeling next to his bed with his other leg partially extended out flexed. the leg fell asleep n he was out for a good amout of hours. woke up and could not move it called for an ambulance n had to get it amputated. NO BULLSHIT

be careful people... :/

So... just nod off laying down, on your back and no worries with limb paralysis/amputation.
