Counting Down till your next dose? [suboxone]

Does anyone here find that they count down every fucking hour until you can next take your suboxone?

I take it every 24 hours, but usually every 25, and I find that I'm counting down every hour until my next dose.

I make it until about 3 or 4 o'clock easily enough, but now from 7 until 11, that's all I'm going to think about.

I get a strongish buzz from it, aided by barbiturates still in my blood, which definitely makes it harder.

please tell me I'm not the only fuck-up out here.
 
shit! hmmm that about sums up my last year on bupe maintenance... the kick was a bitch but it finally feels good to not be dependant anymore. and i still got a strong buzz from it too, right up until thee end.

edit: just to let you know i started having to take it twice a day towards the end to hold me at least 8 hours. i was on about 2mg a day for a couple months when this happened. i jumped when i was taking 1mg at 11:00am and 1mg at 9:00pm. i would wake up feeling kinda sorta sick everday. with sub withdrawal it was one day feeling ok the next feeling like total poop. very inconsistent.
 
I find myself doin the same thing.. its not that bad now that im on subs tho.. but when i was on perks.. WOW i would count down to my next dose..
 
Never had that happen with Suboxone.

I did do that with other more abusable drugs though. Especially when I had a big ass stash.
 
Well, I don't have any problems having it hold me 24 or even 36 hours, but cravings are pretty strong after 16 hours.
 
Can't say I can relate...half the time I forget to take my subs when I'm supposed to.

Then again, I don't get any buzz from them at all whatsoever. If I could get high off of bupe, then without question I'm sure I'd crave them like I do any other opiate...

IME, Suboxone didn't do much for my cravings.


It might have increased them, as the slight buzz was just a tease...
 
I have my own little "formula" for getting a buzz. phenobarbital.

okay, that's my current formula. It blows (I feel poisoned 24/7, but I take long breaks from it, thank god).

My old formula was to take it 3 days in a row, break for 48 hours, then another 3 days in a row. It worked really well.

especially w/ a sedating antihistamine.
 
I always took my suboxone in the morning. When I woke up I craved it immediately and would snort some. It was way too hard to take it at night b/c I would find myself wanting to take more half-way through the next day.
 
I NEVER count down or await my next dose of suboxone.
Usually I dread it (for the taste).
I don't give a shit about it, I take 2-4mg a day and forget to dose often.
 
i started takein bupe again recently, ill do a 1mg shot and be good for like 2 hours then think i need another one, i really dont but i do it anyway, i feel ya hammilton, i never shoulda started this shit again, gotdamnit.
 
I only look forward to dosing when I miss a dose one day and have to wait til the next. It's still not that hard though. Methadone has a long enough halflife and my body has enough built-up enough supply of it that I really dont miss it that much.

Of course, I'm always the first one in line at the clinic the next day.

This thread is not about methadone, did you even read the OPs original post, or any of the following replies?
 
i know how you feel with waiting for your dose. today i went to work , i dosed earlier in the day but should have dosed before work because i could feel withdrawals kicking in about half way through my shift and i was like FUCK. by the time i could finally leave i was sweating and, well, you know the feeling... the drive home was intense. now i feel fine :)

by the way i've been calling sub docs and i finally found one that was taking new patients. i got an appointment on the 27th. im pretty excited as my dope habit has kind of gotten out of hand again. the guy sounds like an asshole but whatever. i've heard alot of sub docs are fuckheads. anways..........8o :p %) ;) ;) :|

How much does this guy want for your initial visit (and of course, he wants it in cash right)? 200, 250, or 300 bucks? Just curious...
 
Im weird with suboxone. I have to psych myself up to take it. Its sort of like that pacing and staring scenario. I walk back and forth (not literally) staring at it, trying to convince myself to finally take it. It takes me a good 2 hours to finally take it. That means 2 hours of very uncomfortable withdrawals, but for some reason I just cant get myself to do it.

I think its because I snort my suboxone everyday. I hate it too. It burns, it drips, it tastes awful. Its very unpleasant. Its also because I want to do dope instead and Im just trying to hold out on taking it long enough to find out if Im going to be doing dope that day or not.

Oh my god....... you just described how it was/is for me when I take suboxone!!!! Right now I'm off the suboxone wagon, and I'm just using straight dope IV everyday.... but there will be a day coming up soon where I start the bupe regimin again, but then comes the same thing you just described above!!! It's such a giant mind-fuck isn't it??? God I hate it
 
Im not sure. he didn't say. i'll have to give him a call. i didnt even think about it i have heard suboxone docs fucking tax you though
