Couldn't sleep and a little paranoid

So last night I got a gram and a half of some dog food and a quarter bag of dooby snacks (heroin and weed respectively). I have been clean and sober for over 10 months and decided I wanted to say F you recovery and get high. So I used to be a regular IV heroin user and pot smoker and had always felt awsome and sleep the sleep of the gods on these two when combined. So why the last night did I feel a little paranoid and couldn't lay down and go to sleep? I also kept nodding out while sitting up in my bed oddly enough but when I laid down I couldn't sleep. Anyone else experience this after a long break from using?

Yes, insomnia can be a side effect of marijuana and opiates. It used to never happen to me, but now it does. I would offten get sleep paralysis too.

BTW, we don't use SWIM on bluelight.

haha ok yea i always thought it was silly but i figured it was the rules. i guess i was thinking of the other forum.

Some opiates do that to me. I find your mind will be wide awake, but your body will be heavy and nodding out. This will lead me to lucid dreams or sleep paralysis. It use to scare me pretty bad, but once I got the feel for it and you realize you are dreaming it's ok.

Not being able to sleep, frustrating as it is, when on a good dose of opioids can be kinda nice. I mean, I get out of bed, realize I'm high, go a for smoke. It's amazing how long that high linger once you haven't had it in your system a while.

Moving over to TDS...this thread covers a few 'darker' areas that I think you could use some help with.

Never tried H myself, every time i do opiates i smoke weed though..it's just the beez kneez

I always wait for the comedown to go to sleep though, shit if you gave me some Oxy, i'd take it late in the evening and stay up for the duration of the half life..

I almost always take some anti-histamane when i use opiates though and that could contribute to the great sleep and minimal itching i get:|

And yea that Sleep paralysis and lucid dreaming is scary as hell when sober, but when i'm on Opiates i always have pleasant/calm dreams...with great auditory effects as well.

For example chasing a girl through a hugh poppy field(bliss), but usually i dream of water. Idk why but it's so calm and serene

Actually, I'd say that this isn't really suited for TDS either. Let's try BDD! (Hi effie!)
:)

Hi Dave! :)

I would say the most likely thing is a combination of paranoia from the weed and knowing in the back of your mind that you had relapsed and probably not made the smartest decision ever. How do you feel about it all now?

I can't sleep well on opioids generally either.

It might be the H you bought. I'm just speaking from personal experience I used to have 2 guys with different H. 1 I would nod hard and sleep amazingly no matter what. The other 1 I would nod and wouldn't be able to sleep, I figured it might be something he's cutting it with or maybe a 3rd variable. Also, if you were having anxiety maybe thinking about how you hadn't used for a year and then just used that might have contributed just general anxiety about using. Duno if any of that mad sense
