Couldn't get high off OxyNorm?

Last night was the first time I'd done any pills apart from ritalin which I did like a year ago. This girl I knew came over and she brought 4, 20mg OxyNorm pills.

After looking for some advice on here I just pulled off the capsule, crushed it and made sure there were no lumps in the dust, and being cautious as i am I spread them into about 4 equal lines thinking i was going to rail one every 10 minutes.

I had the first line and felt nothing, then directly after (for some stupid reason) i had another, then another 5 minutes or so I had another. So basically I consumed 3 quarters of a 20 mg pill in about 5 minutes.

After that I had a cigarette and the only effects I could feel was my vision was wierd. It seemed a lot brighter and apparently I looked half asleep but I felt fine.

Then I got onto facebook and asked my mate who's had all sorts of experience with different drugs and he said that 3/4 of the pill was to much.


Any ideas on what I've done wrong? Should I smoke it or something? Should I not eat a hole lot of butter chicken before it like I did?

Do I need more or less.

And yes I have already been to the OD directory and had a look under snorting Oxycodone.


If it helps the pill packet reads "OxyNorm 20mg oxycodone hydrochloride immediate release Mundipharma"

Pill is brown and pink, says ONR 20.

If you have no tolerance to opoids I find it quite strange you didn't get an effect on almost 20mg. I wouldn't even recommend 20mg of oxycodone to someone without a tolerance. It's some strong stuff.

Next time try swallowing them.
If it doesn't work again, you just have a natural high tolerance.
As for eating - some reports point out that eating a high fat meal before oral (as the way it was intended) oxycodone is actually a good thing.

The problem doesn't lie in the intervals you snorted, because you did it every 5 minutes.

Just try to swallow it next time. Preferably find some 10mg.
It is hard to measure and dose out powder.
 
You obviously don't do 'hillbilly heroin' well. This is about the most demanded drug around.

Maybe drink or addick yourself to something else?
 
Dunna man, 20 mgs of oxy would get me pleasantly buzzed, and a have a fair opiate tolerance. I mean I can shoot an 80, knocks my dick in the dirt but I don't OD on it or even come real close. No tolerance 20's plenty.
 
I've got another 20 mg pill and I'm headed to a party so I figure i'll just give it another go tonight and if there is nothing then I'll just give up on it.

20mgs of oxy doesn't do shit for me except pain relief.. for a buzz I need atleast 40-60mgs... But that has built up over time. I don't know why you didn't feel it...

Seems like alot of people say they don't feel pain pills the first time they do them, maybe they just are expecting something different?

I have heard people don't feel weed their first time either.. I don't know if that is true but I heard people say it..

As for pain pills, maybe people are expecting something different.. Something more extreme and not that warm calmness that sweeps over you.. lol When I first started getting high on pills it took one perc 5... oh how I wish that was the case now.
 
I was in hospital a while back. I was given a small dose of Oxycontin+oxazepam, unfortunately i hada sitter watching me. 2 hours later i felt like a baby lying in a cot-TOTAL BLISS, until some bitch came in and shot narcan into my IV-back to reality-ARRRRRR.-bitch.
 
I'm the same, really.

For the last 2 months I've had a script for 20x10mg OxyNorm's, and 10x20mg OxyContin.

I've snorted 3x20mg OxyContin and got no effects from it. I felt nausea coming on, which made me feel like shit.

I've done 1x20mg orally, which did nothing except make me vomit.

The OxyNorm's, I could take 6 at once and nothing would happen. (e.g. I walk to my parents house and they don't notice anything different).

Before you say I'm doing too much for my tolerance - wrong - I've been on the 10mg OxyContins for about 4 months.

The only thing that's happened every-time (even half of a 10mg OxyContin) was nausea.

What's next? (I'm actually taking this for some pretty serious pain, and it does not curb it...) And basically, I've never gotten high off it either. Fail.

The bioavailability of oral administration of OxyContin averages 60–87%, with rectal administration yielding the same results; intranasal varies between individuals with a mean of 46%.

Not sure if it would be the same for oxynorm? but snorting it doesnt sound like the way to go.
