If you were to take oxycodone once a night, a few hours before you went to bed and no more often than that, could you become physically addicted?

Yes.. this is how psychical dependency works. If you take it everyday, eventually, you will become addicted.

This is exactly how millions of people have become addicted to prescription painkillers.

Yeah, for a while I was doing that every 2nd night and I wasn't dependent, but when I switched to nightly I became dependent.

Same with me....many years ago, took just one little tiny lortab (hydrocodone) every night for pain before bed so I could rest better with a little relief...and well...here I am now.

Definitely... have you been doing it for long? Or just taking precautions? Always important...

Yep. I am hooked on roxis and it doesnt matter if you only dose once a day. It may have a short half life but it is definitely addictive enough to get you hooked dosing nightly (at first...)

Yep. That's how I started. I think the question is more "If I use it as prescribed can I become addicted?" There seems to be some misinformation with patients and doctors on this. I didn't realize I was dependant until I ran out on a Saturday. Didn't think it was going to be anything but painful for a few days. Boy was I wrong! Went into FULL withdrawal. When Monday rolled around with my refill I had to send someone for it. I could hardly walk.

I know it's not as bad as it could have been, either. But I was one sick puppy!

Yup, that was the case with me. Prescribed oxycodone for ridiculous migraines and I go through wd's every month now. I take them every day (a little more than prescribed) and then I run out before next script. I go through this nonsense every month...
Not fun.

Depends how long. Why would you take Oxycodone before bed? Seems like a waste to me.
