I have experience with stimulants and a bit of a painkiller tolerance, but was never a "steady" opiate user until this last month.

I broke a tooth 4 weeks ago, and started taking 20mgs of Oxycodone 2x a day, a few days later I was adding 10mg in at lunchtime to help with the pain. I ran out of those for a few days and I started taking tramadol until the other was available 3 days later. It took 150mgs of tramadol to touch the pain. Back to the Percocets for another 10 days with same dose give or take a 10mg pill. Then a weeks worth of Vicadin at 30mg 2x times a day after pulling the tooth.

Now a month after starting this ridiculous journey, I am 24 hrs without a pill, and I am nauseous, sweaty, my body feels like its been hit by a freight train, and my legs are on fire.

I only took them for a month, maybe.....
How long do you think this will last?
I didn't really take that much, did I?
Is it really possible to become dependent on opiates so quickly?

yeah it's most likely w/d.. cuz it is that easy to get addicted, let me re-phrase that.. it's that easy to get *dependent*, (even for legit pain issues like yours) but don't beat yourself up over it.. it happens everyday.
And remember it's a dependence to the drug you are w/ding from not the addiction, it's only an addiction if you let it be.
Im addicted to opiates but no longer dependent on them after coming off suboxone. Get what im sayin?

Good luck, the worst will be over in 3 days..
try to get some benzos for those 3 days to help you sleep and help other things as well, just don't trade one dependence for another lol.

Definitely possible. Consider yourself lucky. Im in the midst of withdrawal from a 3 year opiate habit (heroin, methadone for the last 1.5 years) Quit while you are ahead. Or you'll feel like you're dead. Fuck me in the head. Bye

Thanks for that, I thought that is what it might be, but because most of my experience is with stimulants, I wasn't sure.
I can now say with the utmost certainty that I will stick with non-narcotic pain meds from now on.
Advil here we come.
Crazy how your body decides that it "needs" something so quickly tho 8)

Definitely glad that I never had a taste for them, this isn't something I could do over and over again.
Consider me a wimp. :\
Good luck with everything, I wish you the best
