Could there be unreacted GBL in my solid GHB?

My synth was less than rigorously executed and the end result saw a solid precipitate with a pH of around 6.6. Without going into the off-topic details of the synth itself (as per BL rules) the final product of this procedure has me wondering if there is some leftover unreacted GBL in this stuff. I guess I need to know if GBL can exist as a solid in an anhydrous state or in a similar STP mixture with GHB? I am concerned only because I much prefer the effects of the sodium oxybate over that of the solvent, and I don't want strange reactions from the GBL to take place in the storage vessels it resides in. . Can anyone shed some light on this for me please? I much appreciate it. Thank you!!

I'm pretty sure that GBL doesn't ever precipitate out. If you think your GHB looks funny, it may be due to GHB being very hygroscopic and absorbing moisture from the air.

We're currently clarifying whether we allow GBL -> GHB discussion or whether this falls under synthesis - I'm going to close this for now..

PM me with any queries :)
