Could someone please give me a definition of terp sauce?

I've got no idea if a minimum terpene % 'sorta' exists. Also, can it be distillate plus terpenes or THCA crystals plus terpenes or something else? Is there a certain minimum THC%?

Thanks for any clarification.

And while we're at it - the taste; how intense can it be?

I've never actually seen this stuff, just read about it in story books. We don't have such groovy cannabis products in Australia. I'm only just starting to see shatter in the past few months.

My understanding of 'sauce' is that it's basically the same blend of essences and cannabinoids as the cannabis it is derived from, only the THCa has sort of precipitated out of the terpenes leaving crystal cannabinoids swimming in a pool of essential oils. I could be way off..

I have read that the crystals don't taste too nice on their own, and that it's not very healthy to vape isolated terpenes so they kind of compliment each other. Looks interesting anyway.
 
Since legalization has happened in Canada, the black market had gone crazy (email marketing, loyalty clubs, direct interac banking payment, etc). The availability of nlack market products has exploded in number. So I'm starting to see stuff that I'm not familar with.

Figured I'd ask rather than buy and misuse (first time I bought shatter I ended up making milkshakes with it).

Tried it and loved the taste, but not the expense. It’s like a half melted, gooey-er shatter. Usually added terpenes enhance the flavour and modify the high somewhat. Since the terps are mixed in, the consistency is varied, some chunky bits, some syrupy, some almost clear yellow liquid.

The best stuff is a long process, all at -40 deg, f rom live plants. Nothing added, the components separate and the taste is insane. Really worth trying, but not a keeper for me. If you have a nice dab rig, it is amazing. But watch it, that shit goes up in smoke fast, man; can really drain the wallet.

it's a constituency of apple sauce, almost like sugared up shatter. The chunks should be THCA crystals, and the majority of the "sauce" will be terps but prob have some decarbed thc.
 
terp sauce is a bho extract that has been let slowly evaporate in order to crystalize the THCA. What you're left with is mainly the runny terpenes (sauce) and THCA crystals... also called diamonds the crystals are.
