Hey guys,
I asked a question about Adderall a while back but no one answered, I hope this time I can get some help.
I used Adderall as a study aid (it's finals week) yesterday, Friday, and the Sunday before last and have maybe used it 2 or 3 other times in my entire life. Each time I kept it to 10mg XR in the morning and the first 2 times I also had a little IR booster around 4-5 pm, but have never gone over the 20mg mark in one day. I have been watching out for eating acidic stuff and made sure to have eaten enough well in advance for absorption to be maximized. I have gotten good rest and eaten after each use as well.
Anyways, yesterday it had basically no effect on me which I found weird because I know that the "high" or "euphoric" feelings go away pretty quick with repeated use, but shouldn't I have at least been more alert yesterday and focused? I had originally had an entire 30mg XR cap which I weighed out into 3 equal doses that have fueled these study sessions, however, yesterday's dose was not stored in a closed container and the beads had just been chilling in a plastic cup since I weighed them out last week, exposed to air in my room. I am wondering if that may have ruined the beads maybe? Are all the beads the same or are some IR and some XR? It was generic brand, orange 30mg cap that I emptied.
I have a couple individual 15mg XR's (still in the caps) that I would like to take tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday and then finals will be over and I can stop. The 2 study sessions I got in were extremely productive and I've retained so much that I've studied. I just want to make sure they will be effective and not wasted or be ineffective given I have already taken Adderall in the previous week. Is this possible? I am hoping that upping the dosage by 5mgs will make the difference I need.
I am only viewing this as a helpful "boost" but I am not relying on it at all and plan on only using them for finals times because I can keep up with regular tests and assignments throughout the semester pretty well without them. Any feedback on these questions from experienced users would be greatly appreciated
