Could past cannabis use be a cause to my anxiety, sadness and tiredness?

I've only taken cannabis six or seven times in my life, spread over six years. I haven't seen a link between the cannabis use and the decreased mental wellbeing before, even though I got anxiety almost every time on cannabis. But the anxiety that was a direct result of the cannabis use was quickly passing.
So I wonder, could cannabis give mental problems that start long after using? And could you get persistent mental health problems from just using cannabis one or a few times? Even if it would be like that, there are other reasons to my problems too for sure (some stressing life circumstances).
I will never touch cannabis again, I just wonder what caused this and how I can get more stable again then.

you can get more stable by continuing to go with out cannabis if you feel that's what makes you stable.

honestly, some people get burnt out for a couple days after smoking.. the thc stays in the system for about a month, but i don't know how much of a physical effect that is going to have for the entire month.

i would say yes though. it could be infrequent cannabis use throwing you off. it's really hard to make up on loss of sleep for some people. that could throw some people off for a while afterward. maybe it even causes symptoms for more than a couple days for some people with the burnt out thing... i was very very very burnt out for days after my first time smoking. i don't know how pressing the cannabis receptors really effects people, or whatever scientifically goes on with weed.. i know even with long breaks like 6 months, i won't get stoned like the first few times i smoked weed, my brain is definitely permanently changed.. like i can't feel that though other than when observing the effects of weed. pot does not have the same effect ever though, so i assume something in my brain is permanently different.... honestly though, whether i go with or with out weed, at this point in my life, i feel better whether i'm smoking or sober compared to when i was a kid, so i don't think pot ruins people from my experience. everyone is different though.

There is some evidence that heavy cannabis use as a teenager can lead to some permanent brain changes, but I don't believe anxiety was implicated as one of those changes, and 6 times isn't considered heavy use.

I think its very unlikely that cannabis caused your chronic anxiety later in life. It's likely something else. Sometimes people just develop anxiety later in life from environmental factors, poor diets/health, chemical/nutrient imbalance, general stress of being an adult, etc...

Nah, not with such infrequent use.

Unless you went totally over the top and had some sort of really disturbing full blown psychedelic experience which is possible with edibles and concentrates.

But if you just got really stoned half a dozen times then I'm going to say no. I think your other symptoms are unrelated.

Lots of other people experience stuff like that who have never touched weed. Good luck in finding a resolution for your symptoms.

i've only felt tiredness from cannabis for a couple days afterward. i get my energy back really quick @ the title of this thread... i don't know about anxiety and sadness being an issue though and what could be going on in the brain... sounds like the OP just wants to abstain from cannabis and this thread is just looking for some hope that cannabis use might be their issue and their problems are going to go away.

does the OP feel like they go for a while with out cannabis and then use and it throws them off? you should know yourself... if it's just been a long time since you've used cannabis, and the few times you used were mostly in a smaller window of time, like it's probably not the cannabis effecting you anymore... but if it seems like every time you get better, and then you use again that you get thrown off, i mean, yeah it's probably the cannabis... maybe you are sensitive to something about weed. we really can't say... i wouldn't 100% blame it on the weed though.. i'd just observe your patterns and think about how it's effecting you.. with what you say you get out of smoking weed directly afterward and not just the possible prolonged effects, it sounds like OP knows weed is not for them anyways.
