Heroin Could I have withdrawals (taking suboxone) AND a nasty flu at the same time?

I am barely able to type this cause I'm so effing sick. I have a doctor's appointment in an hour and I just don't know what to tell him. Here is my situation:
I had a 7 month heroin habit, was smoking 1g-1.6g's per day. All that smoking really made my lungs sound terrible, but whenever someone would ask me about my ugly cough or wheezy breathing, I'd say it was from cigs (which I also smoke).

So I decide its time to get clean (being addicted to heroin is brutal, as many of you know), and luckily I had 10 suboxone leftover from the last time I got clean. So I started my detoxing on Saturday (which was 6 days ago). I waited until I felt the mild w/d symptoms begin (the body aches and restless legs) and then I took my first sub, which really fixed my restless legs. The problem is that for the last 6 days, I have been INSANELY ill, and I just don't think these symptoms are typical to opiate withdrawal. There is a flu going around in my town and lots of people are out sick. Although I'm sad so many people are ill, I am grateful for the timing because it has made my mom much less suspicious (last time I had w/ds and said it was the stomach flu, she figured out that I had relapsed).

OK, so for the last SIX DAYS:
-I've been taking subs which I believe are working because I have no restless legs (yay!)
-I have a fluctuating fever, usually highest at night. The range is 103.7 (last night) to 100.1 (right now). Do you get fevers when you w/d with subs? I don't remember that.
-Absolutely INSANE body aches. When I think about how much my body hurts, I start crying. But I also have fibromyalgia, so I'm not totally surprised that these are body aches on steroids.
-My sides hurt when I inhale or hiccup or cough. My lower left backside hurts too, almost like its a kidney infection or something. This might be super serious, but I've been telling myself and saying its just cause I've been sleeping on the couch for 6 days. (so I can watch TV while in so much pain and unable to sleep)
-My cough is gross and congested, but it was like that for a while since I was smoking heroin so frequently. The only problem is that now anytime I cough now, there is a sharp pain in my head, like my brain is bashing against my skull or something. It really sucks.
-I have to stand up super slowly or else I get super dizzy and my head hurts.
-I have been chugging water and pedialyte to stay hydrated, and peeing a lot- the pee smells bad and its' cloudy. :(
-I am forcing myself to eat a tiny bit througout the day (crackers, cereal). I haven't thrown up at all, thank goodness.
-I'm not having diarrhea because i'm taking imodium, which is amazingly effective.
-Overall complete feeling of malaise.
-I look like absolute shit. My mom was threatening to take me to urgent care last night but I told her I wanted to wait to see my personal dr today.
-I was living off of Advil PM and Tylenol PM to try to sleep but neither were working. Just yesterday I was able to fill my prescription for soma and klonopin, which has helped a lot. The soma helps with the horrible body aches, and the klon allows me to sleep at night.

I have w/d'd two other times in my life: one was cold turkey off of prescribed fentanyl (jesus was that scary and dumb) and the other was from heroin with a subs prescription from an addiction specialist. Neither ofthose two experiences feel like what I'm going through now. So do you think its just karma giving me the flu while I'm withdrawaling?

I am debating whether to tell my doctor that I am detoxing on subs right now because I know he will be disappointed to hear that I relapsed. However, I realize he cant give me the best possible care if I am not truly honest with him. I'll probably end up telling him the truth, but I'd love to hear some advice or similar withdrawal/suboxone stories. I think the thing that scares me the most is that I'm on day 6 of this shit and I still feel just as bad as when I started.

Sorry for the mountain of text. If this is in the wrong spot, mods, feel free to move it wherever.

I just got over pneumonia a few weeks ago. It started out with the flu, then settled in my right lung.

Sounds like you do have the flu, which to me, is the best time to wean down. My body doesn't eve crave pills when I am sick like that.

Maybe you can try to take less of the subs during this time because it's going to be hard to determine how much is really dope sickness and how much is flu. Plus, if you use less, that will save you more for when you feel better.

Drink plenty of fluids and rest, hun.
Also, be cautious about mixing OTC flu meds with subs.

It sounds like you are seriously sick with some sort of flu or virus. I don't think being on suboxone would make much of a difference in terms of medical treatment for whatever you have. If you feel comfortable telling your doctor the truth then it's probably the way to go. As long as he's not an idiot who doesn't know anything about withdrawal. I've met doctors who think any ill symptoms are caused by withdrawing. Your on day 6 so you should be feeling fine on your suboxone. Good luck, I hope it's nothing serious.

I didn't read post but yeah you can for sure. It unknowingly happened to me on suboxone as well.

When I first started and was playing with fire, I hadn't really gone hard, but I hadn't gone without it. I got a nasty ass flu and stayed at my moms and didn't even bring or worry about bringing a sub or two, or that I needed too.

I had the horrible flu, but the main thing was the serious lack of sleep that came with it, which other flus you can half ass sleep through or kinda knock yourself out but sleep just wouldn't come.
