Could beta blockers like Propranolol block Kratoms opioid effects?

I was reading something the other week that stated Kratom uses the Adrenergic receptor to produce some of its effects. This got me thinking as to whether Beta Blockers like Propranolol that block the alpha-adrenoceptor would stop or reduce Kratoms euphoric, opioid-like effects.

Any input? Mods feel free to move this to ADD if need be.

I am prescribed 40mg propranolol 2x daily for hypertension. I also still take Kratom on occasion (no more than once or twice a month), and havent noticed any difference.

Some people feel that Kratom has a stimulating quality, especially immediately after dosing. That effect likely has an adrenergic basis, and would be blocked by propranolol.

Opiate-like effects generally occur through the opiate receptors, and won't be blocked by an adrenergic antagonist.

^This.

I only really got a distinct stimulation from lower doses. The only stimulant effect I was getting with the opiod effects was perhaps some mental clarity that I perhaps wouldn't have had with an antagonist.
