Cost of a drug keepin you from doin it?

It's not really keeping me from doing it, but if it wasn't so expensive I'd probably buy coke more. I just don't think it's worth it because of the price and the fact that so much of the cocaine is pretty impure. I do have a connect that sells pretty good coke, or atleast that's what my long-time coke loving buddies tell me and they've had quite a few other connects. I don't do it enough myself to even notice much difference when it's a (slightly) stronger batch. I'd rather get spun on amphetamines than waste my money chasing an (imo) inferior high. So when I wanna do an upper, even if I have the money, I pretty much always go for amphetamines.

However, if coke was as cheap as speed I'd most likely use it more because of its short duration, which can be a plus when compared to many other uppers. If it lasted as long as speed I most likely wouldn't bother with it at all. I like amphet more anyway.

If I had an oz of coke right now I'd sell that shit and spend it on other/better drugs.

Other than cocaine I can't really think of drugs I don't do/do less because of the price. Most (if not all) other drugs are relatively cheap here anyway, save meth which is a rarity in these parts. I don't buy prescription meds off the streets though, but that's because I could get my own Rx if I really want something and because the prices are just ridiculous. I'd totally feel ripped off, even if it's a "fair streetprice" I'm paying.

Tl;dr, I'd probably do coke more if it was cheaper. The short duration being the only reason. I have never nor will I ever buy RX meds off the streets because of the ridiculously high price and because if I need something I could get my own Rx.

Definitely. I'm a fellow New Zealander and I had a bad meth habit for years... one of the reasons I quit was because my habit was becoming increasing unaffordable. My tolerance was sky high, to the stage that $250 worth of gear would have little effect. Looking back it was a ridiculous waste of money.

If I don't have enough money I usually just ask for a front and find myself in debt. Like, once I wanted to trip on 5 hits of acid... well, I had no money, so my dealer set up a payment plan for the next few weeks.. LOL

Yeah, I've found myself ddeeeeeepppp in debt because of that before, no broken legs yet though, I always come up with it eventually (so I can get more)

I've learned to ask for fronts less than I used to though.
Atm I still have a debt with my K dealer and I'm totally broke and 3 days late now. I'd like to not fuck up this crazy good connect, he's always available and always on time. And since I started buying from him two weeks ago he's given me a front two times already. Maybe that's because I visited him so often already though. :D

Probably (hopefully) running into some cash tomorrow though so I'll be able to settle my debt. Possibly pick up some K too while I'm there... ;)

i dont do coke unless its given to me for free cause i cant afford it, same goes with ketamine, although i do save up for ketamine occasionally.
 
Although i never stole/robbed or otherwise scummed out, many many people i know have. When people want thier drugs, they do what they do. That is the effect of price. When a drug is addictive, when it gets your head, the dealer gets what he wants. We that all around us. Because i do budget some of my money for chems these days , the drug i can't afford would have to be cable

That is basically true. Although there are some drugs I do less because of the price there are none I would never do solely due to price and the high price of the drugs I would do more if they were cheaper means there are plenty of other people happy to pay those prices.

Same here, man. If I had all the money in the world, I suppose would be a wretched addict. But then again, if I had all the money in the world, I suppose my life wouldn't be nearly as (alternately) mundane and painful as it is now.
 
Probably those damn lil roxy 30s you know the blue ones. They are so expensive whenever i do decide to get myself a little present i feel guilty doing them bcuz there so expensive. I mean price has gone up since last year, and even then they were expensive. On the upside i guess if they were cheap id be addicted so it works itself out.
 
Since I don't use street drugs other than LSD, and I'm unemployed, top-shelf weed drains my funds quite a bit, so I tend to be very conservative with the herb and try to make my own hash oil when I'm broke.
 
since i have good connects for most shit, the only things id only really use more are Coke and opana
 
i would do lots of opium if i could afford it, but its soooo expensive. i would do ketamine way more frequently, but i actually got a connect who has good quality product for very good prices today. the only thing that would deter me is the supposedly awful withdrawals or k-pains. i nodded out so many times while writing this that it took me around25 mintues to write, or it least it felt like 25 minutes.

As for me...as an ex opiate addict, I'd a thousand percent be buying bulk of Oxycodone 30mg IR pills if they weren't so damn expensive. We all know what I'm talking about, blowing money away. As amazing and perfect of a high it is, it's just too much money for me to afford doing it more than once a week at most. I'd love to do it more often, but hey...it is what it is, and perhaps being that I'm an ex addict it's better off this way.
