recently i have been using drugs a lot lately and have been partying pretty hard. after a long weekend of drinking and rolling, my brain is feeling completely shot. ive been having trouble remembering things since sunday and it is clear that i need a break from drugs. my plan is to quite drugs entirely for the next month. i wont have difficulty not using most drugs, but the only thing im worried about is blazing. i have been a daily pot smoker for some years and it is very very hard for me to stop smoking. i am determined to do so however, so what are some coping strategies, or ways to occupy my time to distract me from the emptiness i feel when i cant blaze??

Hot showers, playing mindless games like solitaire, playing video games, avoiding contact with drug using friends, hanging out with family that doesnt use or is opposed to drugs, smoking more cigarettes, going out to eat or the movies, having more sex, drinking lots of coffee, exercise, reading books....

Lots of exercise. If you have a girlfriend, spend lots of quality time together. Like the poster stated above, you gotta stay away from people that are doing drugs because you will fall back into it very easily.

it's not easy regardless of the drug, I know when I couldn't find pot for a while I was climbing the walls with irritability but looking back that was NOTHING compared to the opiate withdrawal I've been going through every few weeks when I run out of pills, If I could switch places with myself 2 years ago, I would instantly. so you should be alright if you have a decent amount of willpower.
