I was currently taking 100 mg of oxy cr for bone cancer pain. I ran out of my cr and now only have 15mg ir. How much should be taking and how often to equal what I was taking?

Do the math , however many 15 IR. equal 100mg, cut that in half, take half in morning half in evening. As OxyContin delivered it over course of 8-12hrs. 7 of them is 105mg....if u can handle an increase of 120mg daily, take 4 morning, 4 evening

Do you take NSAIDs too, cindee? They are quite effective for bone cancer pain.

100mg every day or every 12 hours?

Depending on the formulation of the extended release pills you were using you might be fine on just one 15mg IR pill every 4-6 hours. Either way, I'd start at that dose, since that's what the tablets are anyway.
