Conversations With Rogers...

"Hello (name) speaking, how may I help you today?"

"Hi, I would like to discontinue my services"

"Okay, can I get the phone number and adress to confirm your account"

(information)

"Okay, we can't disconnect until we recieve full payment"

"Well you will recieve payment, I just don't want services anymore"

"Sorry we cannot disconnect you until we recieve full payment"

"So, what, are we going to get free services?"

"No, of course not, if we don't recieve full payment by monday then a diconnection will happen next week"

"Well that's what we WANT, we don't want services, we want to CUT our services"

"Sorry we can't cut services until we recieve full payment"

"but there's a disconnection order in place for next week?"

"yes ma'am"

"So why can't we just get disconnected on Monday?"

"Cause we need full payment before we can disconnect you"

"But you are disconnecting us next week?"

"If we don't recieve full payment by monday, yes"

"You see how much this whole conversation doesn't make the slightest sense?"

"It's simple, stop being a deadbeat and pay your bill instead of blowing your welfare on beer"

"excuse me?"

"Pay your bill and stop being a deadbeat welfare bum"

"(name) let me speak to your supervisor now please"

"No. We take credit card payments. would you like to pay your bill with me?"

"Uh no. After you being that rude I rather just speak to your supervisor"

"No. If you pay your bill now, your full services will be restored"

"I - do-NOT- want-your-services. Is that slow enough for you to understand?"

"Yes, but we cannot disconnect you until we recieve full payment"

**me hanging up**

((Head desk))

I did call back and reported him and DID get services cut BUT the tech. can't get here until sometime this coming week. The lady said she would email him and see if he can make it on monday but in the end its up to him. We know the tech that does this area and he's a nice guy, and he knows us too. So hopefully he'll come out on Monday.

We had to get a new number though, as Rogers won't release the number back to Bell until we pay the bill. The number was originally bell's.

Bah! Rogers sucks cruddy STD dick. :X

That's a hilarious conversation. Good on you for reporting him, he sounds like a right jerk.

Still, I'd pick Rogers over Bell or <shudder> Telus any day. They're all the same, but I've not really had a problem with Rogers yet, and their coverage can't be beat. I'm curious about Wind, but I'm guessing that they're like Bell in that they lease coverage from Telus or whomever is the major infrastructure owner in the area.

Rogers in coverage and services were good but they kept depositing our payments in someone else's accounts and the tech (before the one we have in the neighbourhood now) wasn't even connecting us to a Rogers line, kept connecting us to the Bell ExpressVu neighbour of ours and it kept getting cut from Bell - with due reason. So for 6 months we never even USED their services- we were unknowningly on Bell. Which BTW never went out on us and was really quite good service. We were paying for Rogers though and we weren't even using it. So double that with pocketing our $1,500-$2,500 payment. Then a $320 payment since then. So in total someone had $2,820 towards their bill as it went into someone in the neighbourhood's account. Which THEY only had basic service, which means THEIR bill was now paid for what...a year? meanwhile our bill was getting outrageous even though we were paying it and have the recipts for paying it on the RIGHT account number and all. Yet Rogers won't correct their error because they're blaming US for putting it in the wrong account, which is bullshit.

Then that conversation is about the intelligence of 2/3rds of the reps. That's if you get one IN canada.

I was smiling when I called up bell and actually got a woman in London, Ontario at an actual Bell centre and not some rep. at home with their kids screaming in the backround.

I love Rogers cellphones though and their rates and such....

*breathe in - breathe out*

yeah, that's my rogers experience LOL

Actually I had pretty good cell service with Telus in 2001 but yeah the service area sucked. Rogers I had world wide coverage. I'm going with Koodo though at the end of the month. They have coverage Canada wide, so I'm starting to like them.

I would have demanded a discount on your bill, or for him to lose his job, before you would agree to pay your bill for the services to be cut off, that's retarded.

LMAO - that is tooo hilarious
That being said, I love Rogers and I don't think I'll go back to anything else. I was with Virgin Mobile for two years and it was terrible. I couldn't make calls and actually finish a call without it being dropped. I texted a lot and the messages rarely got through. I used to get upset with my ex (bf at the time) because he wouldn't reply to me. He did, I just didn't get the messages.
My parents have Bell and they have the same issue.
My bf and I are both on Rogers and texting and calling has never been easier. :)
Overpriced and (from your blog) apparently morons. But they work!
