Controlled Substances scheduling

I was just looking at the controlled substances schedule chart, and I find it odd that drugs such as cocaine and methamphetamine are only schedule II.....I guess that they find those substances to be of less harm than weed and lsd. wtf is that shit?
 
They are schedule two because they have medical purposes. Meth in perscription form is desoxyn used to treat Narcolepsy and ADD. They use cocaine in eye surgery and nose bleeds (counter intuitive huh?).

If someonething is schedule 2 it is used by the medical community schedule 1 drugs have no medicinal value (or so the FDA says.)

Thats crazy ,but you can get medical marijuana . I guess its on the state level. The Feds dont recognize marijuana for medical use?
 
Yeah I have . i spent some time up in northern cali(Arkeda I think was the town) Awesome place. Then down south in Orange cnty. But I didnt know of the medical marijuana clinics when I was there. Your allowed to grow plants at home and shit , I think thats great. We actually have medical marijuana here in NJ now , But its alot stricter at the moment. But they have a loophool in the bill so in the future they can have it more relaxed...

well the Bill was written so that only the most extreme cases can get the prescribed marijuana at this point. Serious illnesses . But from what I have read, the way they wrote it up is not set in stone , meaning all they have to do is have a simple vote in the future and we could have it like you guys in cali. There was a whole tissy made because they could have easily made the bill so that it was concreate ,only extreme illness. But for some reason they left it so it could be changed in the future.
 
federal laws encompass state laws, however they have to actually give a shit for that to matter. once cali fully legalizes the use of marijuana they will probably just change the scheduling of it to schedule 3 for medicinal or unscheduled so it can be more like alcohol. that will probably take about 5 more years, until then it's kind of a state's decision.

Hopefully they(the feds) will see thats its not the bad drug they think it is. And other states will have it just like cali. Do you know how much tax revenue is taken in because of the marijuana? Its prob alot and, it prob helps out alot.

tax revenue from marijuana is probably very helpful. I hate when people say they don't want weed to be legalized cuz the government would just tax it into oblivion. that's bullshit. drug dealers make a *lot* of money. it would be very very difficult for the state or federal government to tax it enough to exceed street prices.

and yeah, the fed's have been meaning to reschedule marijuana for a while, it's just a matter of laziness and beurocratic bullshit. congress is just a giant house filled with retarded farm animals expected to get along and agree on anything. it was a good idea in theory for preventing fascist take-overs, but it's terrible for actually getting anything done. which is also a plus for people who enjoy their research chemicals, I guess.
 
Yeah America suffers while the Republicans fight the Democrats and nothing truly ever gets done. But just imagine if not just the state legalized it but a national legalization. I bet It would help out so much. You can prob compare it to booze for what the federal goverment gets for that. Its got to be a lot of money.....

Yeah its crazy. There is so much behind the scenes bullshit to our "War on Drugs" Just think if it was legalize how Law enforcment, Courts, Prisons, Jails. All of that would be drastically changed over night. Thats prob why their hesitant to move on it. I just dont think people lives should be ruined for being arrested drugs. when you really think about it its so absurd ....
 
it comes down to money. has NOTHING to do with whether they think its more dangerous than meth.

the only reason marijuana is illegal in this country is because the pharmaceutical companies cannot profit from it. they tried with shitty ass marional, but that stuff is barely psychoactive at all. you cant patent a plant and so they figure it has no use medically, ie they cant make money off it.

you would think they would put some money into synthesizing something better than marinol. how much money do you think they could make with legal cannibinoid pills that actually get you ripped?
 
I don't really think that's true in the way you say it is.

first off, the DEA doesn't want to legalize any previously illegal drugs because they make a fuckton of money off of drug busts. however if today they passed a law making every drug in existence legal, there would be *no* organized crime. all gangs originate a bunch of guys selling illegal shit, usually drugs, or as a protection agency(far less common).
 
I dont know if you were reffering to my comment but thats kind the same thing I said. That the Federal goverment doesnt want to legalize it because everything would change over night. Meaning no Cops,(Dea, local)wed still have them but drugs are there bread and butter. Courts, Judges, Lawyers( obvious, no arrests no need for the court scene.) And it keeps falling down the ladder . No courts means no sentencing ( Prisons jobs ). I think were on the same page...

I lied, probably placebo. idk what my problem is, but I drank about 3 grams of enhanced bali from a super legit source, it just did not do much. I'm gonna try 6 grams in a little bit.
