you tell me you like to be around me.
you tell me i'm fun to be with.
you tell me you understand why i broke up wtih one of your brothers.
you tell me you forgive me.
you tell me it never bothered you in the first place.
you call me, asking me to party with you.
you call me, asking me to drink with you.
you call me, asking me to talk with you.
and i always do because i'm your friend.
yet, when someone prettier comes along,
sluttier,
ditzier,
less independant,
you shove me to the corner,
the gutter,
like i never existed to begin with.
i've known you for almost a year,
and you just so conveniently forget that,
throw it away,
treat me like shit.
because i'm not ditzy.
not slutty.
not dependant upon you for anything.
not as pretty.
not as easy.
and not like everyone else.
well, fuck you and the horse you rode in on.
it's time to branch out.
there is a world outside of your fraternity.
and it does not revolve around you.
