So just hypothetically i was wondering about contact highs, and wondering PD's opinions. Now I know people can feel like they're tripping by being around people who are tripping just psychologically, but I'm talking literally.

I've seen a couple threads here where the consensus seems to be that you can't absorb LSD for example through your skin, even though Albert Hoffman's first trip was through skin, but still I don't know enough about it.

I'm talking about other ways. For example, if I (sober) smoke a bowl with 10 people who sublingually took 1mg LSD each held in the mouth for 30 minutues, have I absorbed any lsd?

What about if I've held a moderate dose of blotter in my mouth until the paper disintegrated then swallowed, and shared alcoholic drinks and or had sexual intercourse with a sober person. Have they absorbed LSD? Can LSD be sweated out?

Also, lets say people use the same smoking device to vaporize (Crudely) various substances, without cleaning/ washing over time, does this mean one would absorb a smorgisboard of threshold chemicals inadvertently?
 
You could easily absorb enough transfer ally if you were dealing with a practically pure LSD solution, or even crystal if you were sweating.
The answer to your first question is no, the LSD in their mouth would stay in their mouth. The smoke won't absorb LSD simply by contact.
Your second one is no as well, except LSD can be sweated out, but in very low concentrations over the course of several hours, and the LSD would then need to be absorbed through your skin after to be active.
Buuuut your last question is yes. The notorious leftover dmt trips, where someone will smoke dmt in a pipe and a friend will pack a bowl right after while a full dose could still be melted into the pipe
 
I really don't think you would have to worry about sharing anything if you consume 1mg of LSD. Just my 2c.

In all seriousness though, I have to agree with what's already been said here. I have been involved in such a scenario as the OP described, having several people who have taken blotters having a session with one or more people who haven't. The thought that some of the LSD would be transfered to the joint/pipe/insert-smoking-device-here was expressed as a "What if?" by some of the people there. We decided to test it out by making sure to leave some saliva on the mouthpiece of what we were smoking as we passed it around. Nothing happened. LSD wouldn't be much good if it just hung around in your mouth. The vast majority has made it's way to your CNS after a relatively short time. The little that is possibly left is not going to be enough to trigger a psychedelic response.
 
You should be fine. The only type of contact high I've heard of is when somebody is around someone who is smoking a lot of pot in an enclosed space doing what's called 'hot-boxing' like in a car or indoors. I read on erowid that people even Dr. Nichols have tried to emulate Hoffmann's supposed LSD exposure via skin and how it does not work that way.
 
It doesn't really work that way. When laying multiple packs at one I do not use gloves. I don't get high from sticking my hands in large amounts of lsd in my laying dish. Though, by the end of the work, I am high most of the time. Chances are, I end up high, due to me touching near my mouth, an open cut, sweating pores etc.

Lol...great response duck:)..but with the type of checks I get by certain authorities, they could find out my past, if they want to know my past..:/

I think it has a lot to do with what would be floating in the air. Friends and I use to have that problem too. We were careful, when we wanted to be. Then, we figured out it was from being in unventilated vehicles, and it never appeared as bad inside a house with air conditioning.

Have you ever heard the idea that thoughts and feelings are all particles that pop in and out of place? It doesn't have to be that someone touched LSD and then touched a bowl. Maybe your souls will hump each other.:)))

If that's what duck meant, I am not worried about sharing my past experiences. I don't really do any illegal substances anymore. When I do it is LSD and is acquired from a close friend who still puts in work.
It probably has to do with particles in the air. As, there are times when someone is in just for an hour or so and is not getting their hands dirty. They tend to claim feeling high at times. Others claim, that area gets you dizzy for a couple days. I don't know... I didn't get high later when returning to that room or area. But, I was not that sensitive at the time.
Either way, I do get high most of the time by the end of the day if I got my hands dirty. Although, not when initially dipping my hands in.
 
Maybe I just don't understand what you all are saying when you say you don't/can't absorb lsd through the skin? My partner, back in his early days, many years ago, was heavily into lsd and he poured/dumped (accidently) a vial of lsd onto his leg and he absorbed it. Happened a few times. Unintentional but definitely tripped. I use to have people at parties does me on my hand between my thumb and forefinger instead of my tounge (so I could visually see how much was being dosed) and tripped.

Did I misunderstand the statement?
 
Did your friend touch his leg? and you just had liquid dropped on your skin? Sweat would eventually take it from between your fingers and get somewhere easier you can touch near your orifices. I'm not saying skin absorption isn't possible. It's just there have been many reports of people trying to repeat Hoffman's first contact with LSD, and they haven't been able to replicate the experience of April 16...just so happens to be my birthday:)
 
Transfer of LSD from person to person unintentionally is possible, but seems really unlikely.

Catching the tripping vibe from tripping friends while you yourself haven't taken any psychedelic is a notable phenomenon. Not only have I experienced it myself, but the 2c-I entry in pihkal has a 0mg entry in qualitative comments describing just such an occurrence
