i was wondering do opiate WDs vary in symptoms each time you have them? or are they pretty consistent with the user/abuser? like i've noticed most of the times the first intial stages of WDs i will always get watery/runny eyes and a runny nose, then start yawning like crazy. will it always come in that order? or vary in symptoms?:\

I think they seem to come in a consistent order by user, although the symptoms vary plenty between users. Most people I've talked to have a symptom that invariably comes first, diarrhea or muscle pain, and then it moves into insomnia, etc.

Mine usually come in order.
With Heroin, I start to sweat first and then get the chills and pains.
With Buprenophrine, I get watery eyes and yawns first, then comes sweat.

yeah that's what it seems like to me.
i get the whole chills thing probably first, then yawn and watery eyes comes, and runny nose.
ahhhh. i hate it. and i'm supposed to be on suboxone right now too...

just waitin' for the dopeman, dopeman, dopeman

Weird, the first thing I always felt was extreme weakness. Absolutely debilitating and in my opinion way worse than the sweating/pain that you wake up with the following day. Edit- and yes, of course the classic runny nose always comes hand in hand with this (yawning/serious tearing always started the following day for me haha).

hm pretty weird that it's consistent vary upon user as opposed to symptoms.

i was mainly talking about heroin WDs, but do different opiates give you different WDs? seems like it's all the same to me. opiate WDs are opiate WDs...

I usually get anxious first, then get a runny nose and sort of like a respiratory infection. This weird getting a cold-like thing happening

The worst is that insomnia. Brutal I find. gets me every time. trying a sub taper now and had to call sik to work today because I couuldn't sleep until I took a Xanax at 2;30 AM .

Don't want to switch addictions. I may have to pack it in and go to employee health and get treatment.

It typically depends on what opiate you're coming off of, how long you've been on it, and what dose you're at. But more or less the symptoms are the same. Although they may vary slightly from opiate to opiate, an example I would give would be joint pain associated with oxycodone but not with heroin. Also, I believe tramadol may cause seizures during withdrawal, while other common opiates don't.

I first start noticing lacrimation, chills, and malaise. If I'm coming off of a severe habit I also start throwing up, usually bile. :\

^using lacrimation? Big words impress me! My withdrawals always start with lacrimation, pandiculation and rhinorrhea (watery eyes, yawning and runny nose).

My red shirt is blue.

That doesnt make sense..... Ahh! I see your point lol =D
Please opiatesrarely tell us how you could possiblly enjoy withdrawals? Unless you were doped up on benzo's or went to one of these clinics where they just sedate you for a week? If we are talking full scale cold turkey i would really love to hear how you can at least make them feel bearable? How on earth did you find them enjoyable? Im genuinely intruigied (even tho i cant spell intruiged!) Interested may have been a better word i was just trying to sound articulate lol =D

I'm coming off an Oxycodone habit.
Withdrawl symptoms include: (in chronological order)
Waking up sweaty
Sneezing like mad
Chills/sweats (more intense then the initial)
Joint Pain
Stomach Pain

Then I do more Oxy. :|

I guess I'm the weird one. My WD symptoms have changed from where they started. Granted the medications and dosages have changed as well, but there was a different even on the same medication and a similar dose from when I started running out early to toward the end of using that medication.

Basically at first when I would run out I would sleep for almost 36 hours straight. It was mostly decent sleep overall. Then the "normal" symptoms came in. Joint pain, just an overall restless feeling. The thing that gets me other than the overall feeling of WD is the sensation/pain I get in my hands. I don't know how to describe it, but it's a horrible feeling that even when I can get into something and forget about my symptoms a bit I always end up remembering because of the feeling in the hands.

These days when I WD (though it's been quite some time now thanks to poppy pod tea) I basically have the more normal "I can't sleep if I had to" issue. Despite being horribly tired and wanting to sleep. I still get the feeling in my hands as well.

Other than what I mentioned above all my other symptoms fall into pretty much what everyone else has said. And aside from the change that occurred in how the WD feels it is consistent in how it feels each time.

Fuck, just reading this thread is making me start to crave, I take my last dose tomorrow (well actually in 4 hours) And then I'll have no access on sunday because Im starting suboxone on monday. In the past 5-6 months, the longest I've gone without a fix is about 12 hours
