Consciousness expansion

the universe is only growing because our consciousness is expanding, in regards to physically observable phenomena.

Our consciousness in regards to other levels of (possibly non-physical) perception does not necessarily depend on our current physical projection.

Or something....I just woke up, still kind of dazed :)

I believe that everything in the universe is made up of pure awareness (consciousness) so is it expanding? IDK, but the universe is surely becoming aware of itself in this dimension.

I can definitely dig that, but it seems funny... It turns into a horse chasing a carrot on a stick, the more we find the more complicated things become, it goes on forever. At least it makes things interesting.

QFT

Rod, I read a webpage once which detailed this guy's attempt at trepanation on himself. He researched it and did it in a medically up to date way. The first week he felt more alive and perceptive. The second week he was afraid that was all a placebo effect. By the third he was sure.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've noticed that the human collective unconsciousness has been expanding rapidly.

We are reaching new heights.

i think unconsciousness is decreasing and consciousness increasing as more people are recognizing they are not their ego

oh & i just read up on trepanation - quite disgusting

If the universe is expanding, is consciousness expanding along with it?
All possibilities welcome.
No.
The 'universe' (at any moment) exists within Consciousness (by perspective), not the other way around as it seems.
All 'posibilities' exist! (Depends on 'perspective'!)

'Collective unconscious', what an absurd notion, and also oxymoronic.
Odd that you have 'noticed' that (become aware of) 'unconciousness' (that which no one can be aware of, cannot be 'noticed'... if there is even such a thing, which I seriously doubt), has 'done something'. Makes no logical sense.
Perhaps you can show me what I am missing in this equation, if I am missing something...

But... if ego is a 'self image' (arising from perspective), then you actually are ego! We are unique and individual 'perspectives', that is us!
But the extrapolations, such as; 'I am more important than other egos', or 'more special in our uniqueness', or 'this perspective is the only real one-size-fits-all Truth' or any of the other 'lies' that 'perspective' whispers in our ear, commonly called 'false ego', is something else indeed, and legion are the people that willingly 'believe' the lies!

Or stepping outside the realm of duality you could say that neither exists within another, that the universe IS consciousness. Or that the universe and conciousness exist within conception, as our microcosmic minds couldn't begin to understand such a macrocosmic process. Indeed, perspective.

Naah, consciousness expansion is *inward*, not outward.

I agree. What if everything were really within? What if everyone was really *right here*?

Space is expanding in the sense that physical dimensions are getting bigger.

Not that you'd notice - anything like a ruler you might measure the expansion with would also be expanding at the same rate so you can't tell.

The point is that whilst this does mean your physical brain is getting bigger all the time, 'consciousness' is a pattern of information played out inside your brain, so it doesn't really make sense to think of consciousness itself expanding just because the physical structure it is lodged in is.

they don't like people like us in this forum.

apparently the most probable scenarios just arent interesting enough.

your own awareness expands as you gather experience, given.
but say, you have your next life, back in BC. Then you grow from there. Then you ask, but that can't happen because the present would be changing. What if the present reflected a life in the past you are yet to experience, or are experiencing as a simultaneous incarnation.

Just getting out the time box is mind boggling enough - but I'd suggest since time doesn't exist, not in a linear fashion, that you just can't get an answer on this one, while bound by place/time perceptual limitations. it's just an impossible question to answer. Given that pre-incarnational memory blocks are in place (for most of us anyway, for Matrix V readers!) it is almost certainly not the point of being here to gain clear answers to question like these even though I dwell on similar matters from time to time...........

Yeah, it's elusive like that.
