Ok so me and my boys took some oxycontin last night.... 40mg pills.... and we all had massive itches later when we went to bed.. like we had huge rashes or something but there was nothing there.. does anyone know anything about this? abd also we took naproxen (different time) and i got itchy on my feet too... what the hell is goin on... and lastly... is there any way to not fall right asleep with muscle relaxers? they are great but kick your ass right to sleep!!! help me! im a newbie!

The itch is completely normal. It's a side effect of all opiates caused by histamine release. To most people it's just part of the high, some people even enjoy it in a wierd way. You can prevent this though, by taking an antihistamine before you take any opiates. I would suggest a non-drowsy antihistamine (like Claritin) instead of ones like diphenhydramine or chlorpheniramine which will cause added CNS depression.

Crimson cloud is right most opiates with make you itch, some more than others. I personally find Codiene the worst I've itched so much ive scratched till i bled. While Herion, Morphine etc. no unbearable itching has ever occured. An anti--histamine works extremely well and is probably a necessity.

To quote Pink in "Just Like A Pill":

I can't stay on your morphine,
'cause it's making me itch...

You can learn a lot from lyrics! =D
