Bupe Confused regarding suboxone film strips/snorting

I've done a bunch of searching/browsing through the Megathreads but I think I'm more confused now than before. I have the 8mg bupe/2mg naloxone strips and was curious if snorting these is harmful due to the naloxone? I understand that bupe has a higher bioavailability when snorted and was planning on mixing a small amount (about 1mg with water) and snorting the solution. Is this harmful or ineffective? A lot of the threads seem to indicate a burning sensation but beyond that, what are the risks?

The nalaxone itself doesn't pose any real risks unless you are one of the people who get headaches from it, etc.. but that would happen no matter which way you ingested your suboxone. As far as other risks to squirting it up your nose... no real other risks besides just general harm to your sinus cavity.

The naloxone is nothing to worry about. The inactive ingredients could be harmful when snorted - keep that in mind.

Make sure you use filtered water even if you are in a first world country. So many things could go wrong, especially since you are giving bacteria straight access to your brain

^ Better yet, use saline! It won't irritate the nasal membranes like water alone will.

you can take suboxone intranassaly, just dissolve it and drop it in your nose...NALOXONE does NOT deter suboxone from being sniffed, plugged or injected.
