Confirmation Bias and Magic Mushrooms

psychodelirium- mystical doesn't mean supernatural?

Mystical and supernatural are different.
Supernatural assumes that we know nature, and the limits of nature, and they are what we perceive or can measure, I think.
But mystical means something like a direct experience of the deeper / ultimate truth or level of being.

fire&water- mother earth being 'god'- i imagine your quoting of 'god' means you want to use it pretty loosely, right? (ive never been able to understand using god to describe earth, it really doesn't fit the generic definition of 'god'. this is probably why i suck at these discussions, i hate using loose-words. are we in P&S? ;PPP )

I had no difficulty whatsoever understanding "god" as "earth".
= The larger entity that controls our fate.
(The difference between whether this control is conscious ( = "God") or not (= "nature" / "earth") may be irrelevant at such a scale.)

consciousness is of *extreme* relevance here IMO. w/o consciousness you just have nature. if the earth lacks consciousness and just behaves by the predetermined laws of physics, it is just the earth. if the earth has consciousness, it could be a candidate for "god".

^ Consciousness may seem very important to you, but I was saying that, when we are discussing an entity of a greater order of magnitude, we cannot really assume that human-based properties define or limit such an entity.
Basically, you seem like you have an attachment to the word "god".
This is not unprecedented, of course - due to religious use of the word for millennia, it has taken on certain connotations in people's minds.
But your distinction between whether the earth "behaves according to predetermined laws of physics" or "has consciousness" is primarily relevant at a human scale.
(and many questions would arise if you pushed the point, such as "What if the laws of physics ARE the consciousness of a greater being?")

that's a question id be fine with; the laws of physics could be, or could have come from, a 'greater being'*. that makes these laws, and their manifestations, "of god". they are not 'god'. it's not even an attachment to the word, so much as me attempting to be as literal as possible (same goes for the mystical/supernatural thing, but that may just be pedantic).
/*any concept of a "god"/"higher being" that i can even realistically entertain is intertwined with the entirety of the universe and the laws that govern it
