concussion and rolling

So I have searched and found some threads but nothing was really quite the same as what I was looking for. 2weeks ago I got jumped and received a decent concussion l. I'm going to edc this upcoming weekend and I was wondering if its chill to roll one of the days as it would at that point been three weeks of recovery. I talked to my doctor and he already told me it was okay to drink( I obviously didn't ask him about rolling) . I have had some friends who have rolled after a pretty severe concussion and they said they were fine afterwards. Its edc and I've been planning this trip for a long time... Just wondering your thoughts.

Thanks

I think if it's ok to drink, it should be *okay* to roll but do take extra precaution about hydration, especially electrolyte intake. Also try to eat & sleep well. I know these are unlikely, but there we are.

Do you feel fine, haven't noticed anything odd since?

I mean im a little off still but the headaches are very minimal, probably a 1.5 out of 10 and its only once in a while. im feeling a ton better than i did intitially and there is still a week untill EDC. loud music and such still kind of bother me but i heard thats normal for a little bit. I did buy some ER-20 earplugs too

exactly my concern... im hoping by the time the weekend comes however i would have lost all headaches and symptoms. Im finding it really surprising that more people dont have experiences with concussions and this dilemma

This is a useful answer... 8(

I had forgotten - strobes & the like. Chances of clobbering heads? Brain bouncing up & down when dancing etc. I'd prepare but just decide not to take it if headaches continue.

Haha i saw this post before, i was like uhh yeah wonderful answer, cha cha is useless as is most of those "question" sites (ie yahoo)...

Well im going with 5 other of my friends all guys except one girl so im pretty sure we will have some good space amongst ourselves. im going to try drinking one of the nights beforehand, see how that goes then maybe roll if all goes well. What bad timing man...

My opinion is that you'd be fine, as others have stated.... If an MD says it's ok to drink, I would think you'd be fine. I would try to stay away from the speakers as much as possible, and not to jump up and down 'dance' real hard while rolling, and also no face melting light shows, but I think if you take a moderate dose 120mg's and no alcohol with the mdma you'd be fine, who knows, it might actually take them completely away. I know I watched a documentary on psychadelics and they were actually giving them to people who have had serious problems with cluster headaches, and it actually helped them ALOT! I forget the name of the documentary, but I'm sure someone here will know what I'm talking about.
So it actually might help, as long as you don't overdue it. But always take proper precautions of course when rolling, like sitting down, taking breaks, water intake, etc....

^cluster headaches are different from normal headaches, and very different from concussion.

Yeah the problem is they said i could drink but not get drunk lol. Not sure if that makes a difference but idk. hell i might just have to be the only sober cat at EDC or Vegas for that matter

I was recovering from a (police-induced) concussion and sub-arachnoid hemorrhage once when I rolled. I took a reduced dose, but towards the end of the roll I had a severe bout of vomiting. Probably not a good idea until you are quite recovered.

Inside LSD from memory. But yeah cluster headaches can be helped with LSD (specifically bromo-LSD) or psilocybin, But as MrPorter stated that is considerably different from normal headaches and completely different to concussion.
Personally if you still have any residual symptoms I wouldn't chance it. Concussion is the wrong thing to be messing with, if a concussion is light you can feel normal after a day or two. But you're still suffering from it after two weeks so I can only assume that the concussion you got was relatively severe. If all residual symptoms of your concussion have gone, then I would try enjoying EDC for a few hours without dropping and if no headaches/nausea arise then my guess is you would be okay but I am not a doctor. Also why didn't you ask your doctor? I'm not sure what country you're from but most have specific privacy laws that would prevent a question like that being used against you because of patient/doctor privacy. Having said that I would suspect a doctor will probably just tell you not to take any E simply because the amount of information about concussion and MDMA together is non-existant as far as I know.

Also this was posted on bluelight a few years ago. http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/threads/500485-concussion-and-mdma
True you've had three weeks to wait, but as I said before seeing your still having some residual affects after 2 weeks I would advise against rolling.
