I schedualed an appointment with my doctor, because i decided that i wanted to try some medication to treat my ADHD. I was never official diagnosed, nor has anyone ever acknowledged that i have ADHD, but I took a test online and it appears to me i likely have some form of it. I was prescribed Concerta 27MG by my doctor a couple of days ago. So far the only positive thing i have noticed is that i have been more motivated to clean at times...

I have only been taking my medication for two days now, so i definitely need more time to experiment, but im wondering if there is anything i should keep an eye out for in terms of negative/positive side effects. I have a hard time noticing things unless they are shown to me first.

Also how do i decide which treatment will be best for me?

I don't think you have to decide which treatment will be best for you, that's for your doctor to decide. Tell him you're concerned regarding your ADHD's treatment, and ask him what are the treatment options and he'll help you choose what's best for you. However, it's usually a matter of trying several prescriptions until finding one that works.

The most used meds for ADHD in the states are methylphenidate (Ritalin is its instant release form, Concerta is its extended release form), a 75-25% mix of dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine salts (Adderall IR or XR) and lisdexamfetamine (Vyvanse).

I am not a doctor, nor am I an expert on ADHD. But there is a reason that ADHD medications like Concerta work to help people with ADHD concentrate and yet make people without it get all spun out. The brain chemistry of a person with ADHD is (debatably) different. But I have, in my personal experience, seen people with ADHD have reactions completely opposite of what you'd expect with any and all drugs, not just the stimulants prescribed to treat. For instance, I had a friend who would do coke and take a nap or do heroin and just get all spun out and clean and go nuts like he was on meth. If you're taking the Concerta and wanting to do things, I would definitely pay attention to how it's making you FEEL (jittery? relaxed? motivated?) and maybe even keep a journal. You're absolutely right that you need more time to let it get to the therapeutic dose in your body, but if it makes you feel more up than focused, you may not have ADHD at all.
Just something to look out for. Like I said, keeping a log/journal might help you remember and decipher some patterns that may arise.
