Concerta XR (methylphenidate) how to make recreational?

I have some 18mg extended release methylphenidate, specifically concerta. What is the best method to beat the extended release mechanism? Used to do a lot of amphetamine paste (UK) so want to achieve that sort of euphoria/focus if possible.
 
I read that you can beat the shell and pump mechanism by splitting it horizontally or lengthways to achieve different ir dose effects anyone got any experience?
 
Smash it then eat the crumbs

Don't try snorting it most of the capsule isn't water soluble and will fuck up your nose.

I'd just break and it mix with water if you don't want to take the whole lot at once.
 
It's 18mg which I assume is a low recreational dose, but I have no idea how that really translates to amphetamine sulphate dosages.

Would splitting it horizontally and then mixing it with water activate the osmotic pump safeguard of the pill or does splitting it completely negate that anyway?

Similar assuming the amphetamine is pure. Methylphenidate is about half the potency of dextroamphetamine mg for mg, exactly how that translates to racemic amphetamine I couldn't say.

18mg without a tolerance will have you reasonably peppy bordering on quite high for about 3 hours, then it'll wear off abruptly with a bit of a crash.

You're splitting the chamber that contains the active drug down the middle so it would all dissolve into the water. You can find diagrams online which illustrate how the pump mechanism in concerta works. It should all be fairly self explanatory from there.

The generics are more like giant gobstoppers with multiple layers. I assuming you're refering to actual branded concerta.

Interesting thanks for the info. One other question, if spitting for one and half dose I'm assuming it's best to split length ways to avoid taking the side with the wrong drug layer?

Alza 18s seem to have the drug layers on the left when oriented from the markings and the push on the right.

Yes, but mixing it with water so you can dose volumetrically (ie mix crushed capsule with 100ml of water and drink 50ml if you want to take 9mg) would be a better solution if you're concerned with accuracy.

For sure I think that's what I'll do. Excited to feel a bit speedy outside of mdma pills that have a tiny touch of amphetamine for the first time in 10 years 🥳
