i know it aint Ritalin but it basically is just time released. I started it yesterday at 54 mg and felt way better than i normally do , more energy focus etc and lasted almost all day
im also on celexa klonopin neurontin and inderal and trazadone .
im not abusing any illegal drugs

I'm wondering the same thing. Are you asking if Concerta helps anybody? Because yes, it does.

We need more information and an actual question to help you....

So... those are your conditions, or what? And what is the question?!? You're obviously paying attention to the thread; full sentences would work swell here.

This sounds like more of a discussion to be having with your doctor really..

I'm going to leave this open for a bit to give you a chance to come back with a more specific question jake99, if not shall close it.

it's not ritalin cause it's concerta (also because it comes in 54mg capsules)
I wouldn't really suggest you taking with your anxiety and ocd and all, it just helps as long as you're on it.
It wouldn't help with the depression either; after you stop it you'll feel like shit (psysically and psychologically) and you'll probably wanna go back to H (at least this is how it worked for me, I was off dope then took for two weeks every day 18mg of concerta - I was in paradise I think - and then I was really fucked up)
hope I helped, though I don't know either what kind of help you need
cheers

i felt good my first day on it then last 2 days ive felt shitty again . .wtf?

The medications will not make everything perfect man. They're a useful tool but they can't do everything.

im also on celexa klonopin neurontin and inderal and trazadone .
im not abusing any illegal drugs

Is there a reason why you need to take that many drugs daily?
I sense a misdiagnosis among your pharmaceutical list.

well first it was celexa for depression then neurontin and inderal for anxiety then they werent helping so klonopin was added, then trazadone for sleep, then i felt no energy and couldnt focus on anything so the Concerta...........................I used to just self medicate with Opiates and benzos . now im in a long term rehab./dual diagnosis

Sounds like you have quite complex medical/psychological needs.. I'm sorry you're finding it tough getting the right mix of medications and it's really frustrating when you need to start taking some meds to counteract the side effects of other meds.

Unfortunately, we can't really tell you whether it's the right med for you or not over the internet as we don't know your full medical history and we're not your doctor. Some people do need to be on a lot of medications to keep themselves stable and feel okay, but sometimes they end up on too many. If I were you I'd talk to your doctor about this and explain that the Concerta only worked for a day or two then made you feel worse. Also ask for a medication review if you feel like you are on too many different pills - although people with a dual diagnosis (psychiatric condition eg depression/anxiety/whatever plus substance misuse) often do end up on a cocktail of meds.

Bottom line is this is an issue for you and your doctor to work through, especially as you are im long term rehab.. For this reason I'm going to close this thread. If you don't agree feel free to send me a pm about it. I hope you manage to get the right combination of drugs and feel better soon. Congratulations on coming off the opiates :)
