Is it safe to use mesulid along with concerta (18mg)? Is it going to affect the effects of concerta?
I'm on 18mgs of methylphenidate per day and I'm taking an exam tomorrow. My right hand (the one I write with!) hurts really bad coz of writing too much these last days, so I really think I'm gonna need to take something for the pain during the exam.

PS. I think that mesulid doesn't exist in the US. It's a very strong anti-inflammatory analgesic.

Thank you!

Mesulid/nimesulide is a NSAID, or non-steroidal anti inflammatory drug, in the same class as ibuprofen and diclofenac altough it is a COX-2 inhibitor where as inuprofen is non-selective (if you were interested haha.. don't worry about it really, there's a possible increase in risk of heart attacks/strokes with those particular drugs but it's still being looked into and seems to be minimal, and would only be a concern if you were on it long-term and have other risk factors.. off on a tangent sorry but it's kinda relevant!)

Anyway - should be no problems at all. Mesulid might irritate your stomach but simple antacids should help that. It shouldn't be taken every day in the long term as it can damage stomach lining but in the short term its absolutely fine. And fine with alcohol woo :)

^Exactly. I don't see why there would be any interaction between the too. I recommend taking it on at least a partially full stomach (for the some reasons that effie outlined above).

I was just wondering because sometimes, mesulid made me feel kinda sleepy and dizzy and I deffo wouldn't want that during the exam!
Thanx a lot both of you! <3
