Concerns/experiences with agmatine, ashwaghanda, and mdma/5-mapb?

Hello friends, I am brand new here but have turned to this site for the better part of the last 10 years as one of the best resources for reliable information and discussion.

I plan on rolling tonight. It has been just over 3 months since my glorious first experience with 5-mapb which was also my first roll in 6 years. I have been avoiding rhodiola, passionflower, and turmeric for the past few days just to be safe and do not ingest anything else I'm aware of causing potential concerns when combined with phenethylamines.

I have read some people say that agmatine should be a good neuroprotectant for MDMA and others say it may kill/diminish the experience. Per a friend's recommendation during my last roll, I took 500mgs a few hours in. I noticed no anxiety or paranoia like I've gotten at times with MDMA but assume a more relaxed experience is a staple of 5-mapb. Anyway, I observed what seemed to be a noteworthy drop in intensity some time after taking the agmatine, but I still felt very good and I'm not sure if it was just the start of a gentle comedown. Curious if anyone has any experience with mixing MDMA or the like with agmatine and ashwaghanda. I've got my ALA, LAC, magnesium, vitamin C, fancy coconut water, mixed nuts and a few other things I'll get from the store on standby, as well as a tape recorder for special effects. I took a small amount (200mg of the recommended 450mg dose) of ashwagandha extract and 200mg or so of agmatine in an attempt to lighten my mood about 3.5 hours ago and plan to roll some time in the next 3-4 hours. Think I should be good to go or better off waiting til tomorrow?

Side note, I read a glowing report of what I already thought would be a great combination and plan to take 50-60mg 5-mapb with 33mg MDMA and some mushrooms. Anyone ever tried 5mapb and mdma together?

So based on the research and my own experience, it’s best to take the free radical scavenging antioxidants after you’ve come down. There’s a lot of risk for nullifying the roll with most antioxidants, and the damaging metabolites take awhile to form after the MDMA has had its effect.

Thanks a bunch friend. And oh hey, that was you! After taking 5-mapb, I felt like it was almost perfect but could just be slightly more stimulating. I scoured the internet and could find no info on a 5-mapb + mdma combo. Last night, I decided to dig again since I plan to roll tonight and that was the exact thread that made me say "Yes, this is exactly what I thought!" Really cool you are also the one to reply :)

I saw no reason why it would be unsafe but since psychedelics will also be involved, I'd really prefer to erase shadows of doubt from my mind. I take agmatine typically 1 to 3 times a day so hopefully todays dose will have little impact but perhaps the regularity with which I take it will have a great impact. I will let you know how it goes. I've also been taking NAC 1 to 2 times a day for the past 4 months.

I'm curious--I presumably have no tolerance at this point--72mg 5-mapb with 2gs of mushrooms was perfect for me but the 5-mapb was also mixed with an unknown amount of hornedine in a capsule my buddy made me. He said it seemed to make it stronger and also potentially be neuroprotective. The only MDMA I have is mixed in capsules with mushrooms in a ratio of 33mgs to 275mgs. So, I don't want to overdo it but I do want a strong experience. I was thinking say 55mg 5-mapb I suppose and then 1 mdma + mushroom capsule an hour later like you recommend with a gram and a half of extra mushrooms. What do you think? I thought about doing 2 capsules but i don't know if 66mgs would be too strong on top of the 5-mapb and all I really want is a little extra stimulation. Or would closer to 70mgs 5-mapb like my first time and then just 33mg MDMA probably be better you think?
 
My buddy just hit me back with some links and research he did saying that ashwaghanda has been shown to inhibit cyp450 2b6. I only took a small amount, I wonder if I need to err on the side of caution though
 
Apparently cyp450 2b6 is the main enzyme pathway of 5-mapb and since ashwaghanda has been shown to inhibit it in vitro, he believes it could potentially be a problem but is not sure if it would be a problem at all. I am on the fence. I'd rather not wait til tomorrow as I'm not sure it's worth doing if I don't get 2 full days to bask and soak it all in but it is hard for me to knowingly do something that could *potentially* be hazardous when it comes to serotonergic drugs. I feel fairly certain there would be no issue at all, but I'd rather have no time than a potentially bad time.

I take agmatine on a regular schedule to potentiate the effects and alleviate the withdrawal of kratom, 3x500mg spread out, per day. I have noticed absolutely zero influence on my MDMA rolls. No experience with ashwagandha though but agmatine in my experience is fine. I almost never get MDMA hangovers though, so can't comment on agmatine's effect on them. It also didn't seem to further increase my afterglows, though I did have afterglows for about a day, as is usual for me

I take roughly 500-1500mg a day as well. I refrained the day of just to be safe but like always it hit as hard as I could ask for. I did wind up taking some a few hours into the roll and, outside of a redose, I find it really helpful for smoothing out any rough edges that may arise. I know some people can tend to experience a little paranoia during MDMA comedowns and I think it is perfect for that. Kratom was also the perfect landing gear for winding down to sleep, though I did end up taking 500mg valerian root 30 minutes after kratom and only slept 2.5 hours. It was great.

But yeah, I've always been more susceptible to afterglow than negative comedowns. I think psychedelics help a lot with the experience and aftereffects and, though physiology may very, I suspect that most if not all bad comedowns and blues relate to dosage, purity, and frequency of use.
