Concerning Concerta (Alza 27)

Hey guys this is my first post so lemme know if I did anything wrong.


I have these Alza 27s I was prescribed a few weeks ago. I went on the web and found out that you can:

1. suck off the outer coating to reveal grey,white,pink
2. cut it in half
3. peel off the clear outer layer
4. crush and insuffilate

I have no interest in Step 4 but was wondering if Step 3 is necessary if I were to only take them orally. My question is if it will be more like an IR high since I removed the time-release mechanism, like if that the methylphen will just take the path of least resistance (the spot where the grey part was) so as to make it an easier time for me by bypassing the time consuming Step 3.

For XR MPH the outer layer is absorbed immediately which is 1/3 of the dose. If you are looking for an IR high then get the 54mg one as 18mg would release and that is enough (well it was for me) for a very nice euphoria. After, the rest of the pill is slowly released and maintains a steady buzz IME. Forget those steps.

Otherwise you'd need to find some actual IR MPH such as Ritalin. Glad you aren't interested in snorting as I've found the oral route is the best for all drugs.

If you pill is 36mg or less then the initial dose it releases won't be enough to get you "high" imo.

I only know of the concerta pills I got years back, but in my experience it was never worth the pain to try and take apart those pills. I'd spend less time committing a crime and using the money from it to purchase better drugs of the street... not that I'm advising this, but in my opinion concerta is a filthy bitch not to be trifled with. There are better drugs, that's for sure.

Yeah I got switched to Vyvanse 30mg yesterday. so much better :D
