I cwe almost daily using 100mL of water. tonight when I did the cwe it was on a different pack than what im used to & i put it through the hanky first like i always do which usually gets rid of practically all the apap before putting it through a coffee filter. the water it always clear.

tonight i put it through the hanky first & after putting it trough the coffee fiter it was slightly white. Im assuming it must have been pill binders cuz it it cought the apap with my usual brand it must have with this knew brand too but it's got me thinking.

I dont have any links right now (Im looking to find em again) but basically from what i can recall even at wikipedia they did a study with somkeone just taking a gram a day for a year had kidney or liver problems. Cant remember which it was but on other websites it says using apap regularly causes damage to ya kidneys.

Has there been anyone out there presribed T3s or panadeine forte for pain & taken them long-term for pain. or just apap by itself. whatever.
even if it was just for a year or so. how is your liver & what im more interested in, ya kidneys going if u know?

Has anyone else out there used APAP long-term even if it was just for a year for pain. weather it be in pandeine forte, tylenol 3 or whatever taken daily for pain or whatever?
Do u know how your liver or kidneys which im more interested in are going?

before i got my wisdom teeth taken out I took 2g/day which were in panadeine forte (500mg apap/30mg codeine) for pain which was prescribed. (I wasnt cwe'ing at that time & I should have just stuck with the tramadol i was also prescribed cuz my dr apparently didnt care about the apap hurting my organs. they were more concerned about, god forbit getting addicted to the codeine which is ridiculous considering the apap could have been slowly killing my orgrans.

anyways theres always a little bit of apap that gets into ya cwe & im concerned. I think Ive had to must apap over my life.

I had a full body blood test. Im from australia if that makes any difference & im wondering if anyone knows if that includes ya kidneys? My liver test came out clear btw which was a releif.

I sometimes get discomfort in the right side of my stomach, around where my kidneys would be. or maybe thats just typical codeine side effects. I dont know but if the full body blood test didnt include kidney function im going to see my dr about it. he knows i atleast used to do cwe.

it's the apap im concerned about obviously but im sure codeine isnt exactly healthy for ya kidney either & codeine become quite a habit for me these days.

I also take milk thistle which i know helps repair ya liver. does it also help repair ya kidneys?
I used to binge drink alot too when i was younger. but i try not to drink or smoke these days.
I only really take benzos & opiates. like i said ive had the codeine tonight. I also had my usual dose of temazepam 200mg. I either take that or about 100mg of valium but i dont think they are a problem to my kidneys as i only occasionally take them unlike codeine

I read that kidneys can repair themselves like ya liver can so that gives me some hope because like I said i think ive had alot of apap over the years

I think you should be more concerned about your liver than your kidneys. Your liver can't heal itself if it doesnt get a break. It might be a good idea to raise these concerns with your doctor. But if you're liver test came out fine then you've got nothing to worry about for now.

For the record i think your making it hurt by worrying about it. Kidney pain hits your back. Not your stomach. But if you're really concerned go to the doctor as it may be something else.

Where did you read that it's worse for your kidneys? This just isnt true. Paracetamol (APAP) overdose causes liver faluire.

I'll try to find the link but it was a website saying that if u use apap to much over ya life it fucks up ya kidney function severely...
well i guess if it isnt doing damage to my liver than in theory my kidneys should be fine.

is there anyone out there who has used T3s long term or anything else with apap & has had tests done to see how there kidneys/liver are?

Im still concerned & im going to ask my dr if the full body blood test tested for kidney function. might explain why I have depression, GAD, always feel tired & dont wanna work.

I'll look for the link soon. u'll be shocked what it says. something like only 1g a day can seriously hurt ya kidneys according to this site i found before

Doesn't make everything you read correct.

Are you sure you arent just trying to find a physical cause for your depression? A lot of people try to do this. But the thing is most of us feel tired and don't wanna work. It doesn't mean you or us are ill. So when your kidney function tests come back normal (which should really be checked through your urine) then move on and you can stop worrying about it.

Safe to say if your urine is not brown and you are having no back pain (and i'm not just talking about a bit of a back ache, i mean agony i know this because i've had kidney problems) then there is probably nothing wrong.

this isnt the same website but a quick search at google came up with this one
http://www.medicalnewstoday.com/releases/4722.php
The researchers found that heavy use of aspirin or paracetamol - defined as 300 grams a year - was linked to a condition known as small, indented and calcified kidneys (SICK).
that's less than a gram a day. if u google "apap kidney damage" it comes up with pages full of em.
now when i do cwe im getting about 0.5 grams each time & I did use panadeine forte for 6 months.

i just hope the damage i have can be treated & reversed. but like i said earlier my liver is fine & if it destroys ya liver worse than i guess if my liver is fine than my kidneys should be too. but the other site said pretty much the same. only a gram a day is enough to cause damage to ya kidneys :(

I think 1.278 grams of apap is soluble in 100mL of water at room temp according to wiki. so at 5-10 degrees maybe 500mg might be soluble?
that's still half way there if im taking it daily to cause serious problems. & what pisses me off is the dr had me takin apap 4g a day. ffs i would have been better off on OC 80s. id rather an addiction than kidney failure. taken 2g a dauy for 6 months according that that website means i have damage. I should sue my dr. I bet they have alot of ppl takin the so called harmless apap if u dont take more than 4g a day

find me a link where it has a better explanation of a dose that causes liver/kidney problems than!
maybe i dont beleive u. why would u lie? just like why would they make a website full of lies & waste ppls time?
im actually genuinely worried a little. Im doing cwe almost every day now
is there anyone out there who has taken alot of apap over there life & has had tests done?
might make me feel better if they came out well before i see my dr

Not everyone who uses the apap suffers kidney or liver problems immediately, and not everyone experiences problems at all. Taken from a binge user of hydro and apap who has more than exceeded the four gram limit of acetominofen in a one day period for multiple days at a time, my kidneys and liver are perfect via both scans and bloodwork. It depends on your own sensitivity and your body's ability to metabolize the apap in any given solution. Don't get me wrong any long term excessive use will completely screw you liver and/or kidneys, but what from you describe it appears to be a case of paranoia. Be careful out there though regardless. Apap is nothing to mess around with. The depression you describe along with the fatigue could easily be directly related to paranoia or a b12 defienciency. A low b12 will easily cause depression and fatigue. Maybe you could try a b12 supplement and get those levels checked?

^^B12? why B12?
I take a multivitamin every day. has plenty of vitamin b12
does ya B12 go down when ya kidneys arnt working.?
geez maybe i am paranoid. & thats after 200mg of temazepam. im even worse when im not on drugs. geez

He was saying your kidneys were working fine. He was commenting that your symptoms could be caused by a vitamin difficency. You usually have to buy vitamin B12 on it's on to actually get the reccomended daily amount. Multi Vitamins don't always have enough.

That doesn't mean however that vitamins are going to fix everything because i think most of what you are feeling is psychological.
