Opioids Concentration of Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) & Strength of IV rush

Apologies if this has been covered elsewhere.

I was wondering if the concentration of Dilaudid in a shot would effect the rush. For example if i were to use 2 D'8s and use 50 units (.5ml) of water, would that be a stronger rush than if I were to use a whole 1ml? I usually throw about 50 units on 2 D8s, wait a min, crush them, draw up solution then add another 50 units and get whatever drug remains but I've always wondered if I were to use less water, thereby getting a more concentrated shot, if this would be stronger. Kind of like Methamphetamine, if you use too much water it lessens the rush. Even ruins it. Does anyone know?

Is it better to use less water? Will 2 D8's even dissolve fully in, say, .5ml of water?

There's no difference unless you start moving up to 10ml syringes and IV drip bags. A bolus injection is a bolus injection no matter how you cut it. Whether you use 1ml of water or 0.5ml it doesn't matter; the drug still has to diffuse across the blood brain barrier.

The only thing that matters is the hydromorphone dissolved in the shot,a nd the time it takes to inject. If you go really, really, slowly over the course of a minute of course it won't rush as hard as if you fire it all in relatively quickly.

actually the more water you use the stronger the shot, not by much but it makes it a little stronger because it makes the filler that the drug is inside of come in contact with water at every small piece of crushed pill which allows the drug to seep out of the powdered pill into the water

I always use around 80 units of water with my dilaudids. It never effected the potency, and the more water you use with your drugs is easier on the veins. Brand dilaudids sometimes require less water, but the generics need more water so all the chemical can dissolve from the filers.

I personally don't think the amount of water you use will make it stronger or weaker. Your blood is full of water, and I seriously doubt 0.5ml as opposed to 1ml is going to make any difference in the concentration it will have once it hits your body

the solubility of hydromorphone in water is very high, so whatever amount you are using for 1 shot is going to pull up all the drug in the solution, so make sure to dispose of whatever gunk is left in your cooker after you are done, and don't destroy your body by trying to re-use it. also do not cook your hydromorphone shots, or any other pharmaceutical for injection.

^Very good point, thanks for reiterating that. I don't think a matter of +/- 50 units of water is going to make your shot weaker/stronger to the point of it being noticeable. The thing that would effect it more so, would be the speed in which you push your shot in. Now, I guess less water=less material to push in, thus getting it into a bit faster but I don't think it will make ahuge difference since it all has to get thru the BBB and whatnot anyways. Heroin/morphine does not hit you instantly, that's why you dont' feel the rush for 15/30 seconds or so. (atleast for me.)

I think I get some kind of placebo from shooting heroin, as I feel some kind of mood-lift almost instantly after shooting. But I'm on about the same level as you, in that I don't get the shivers up my spine and the true rush until 15-20 seconds

simply put no the amount of water makes the shot actually slightly stronger the more water you use, in my experience that is
