Computer Use + Psychedelics

I always like to have a computer and/or tv around just for music, movies and general mental safety. Ive never thought a computer could put anyone in a bad trip enless you were playing / watching some fucked up shit. Worst thing for me was my girlfriend playing this sims then saying on 50mg's of aMT that everytime she closed her eyes she was playing the sims and then she started to say commands in game like 'make brunch: waffles' and 'phone services' outloud for a few mins but all this did was have us pissing ourselves for at least a half an hour. Another one of my friends after playing minecraft with me while coming up on another 30 - 50mg dose of aMT started to imagine the world as minecraft but the only thing he said was 'my hands are the fucking minecraft hands and ive got a fucking pick'. I could see why violent games could put people in a bad way but ive happily played gta san andreas while tripping although i normally just start to look at all the houses and different parts of the city. Down to personal opinoin definatley though.

video games completely cleared my mind

yes sometimes when in a bad mood i use to play this strategy war game - red alert 2; become lost in it, then would feel OK by the time a match was over. sometimes i think perhaps the human brain can process the things that are "on your mind" in the background if you distract yourself, particularly with something like a puzzle game involving solutions and working out how to do things....... i think maybe sleep can do a similar kind of thing

I played Call of Duty on mushrooms once, it really wrecked my head. The whole rest of the night I felt very uncomfortable and overwhelmed and could not for the life on me pin point why.

I've since come to the conclusion it was because I had something on my mind, which was my Mum being in hospital, bad idea to take shrooms probably.
I think what happened was just me was seeing the amplified effects of something I always did, playing Call of Duty to try and escape from what was on my mind, and I realised that doing that is really bad for me in some way, it only restricts my ability to deal with my problems.

Not sure what my point is... but that's my little story.

this reminds me of the time me and a friend played F.E.A.R. on acid at one point in the game we got stuck running around in circles in this office building for what must have been 20mins and during this we kept talking about how we were stuck in the game and also stuck talking about the same thing over and over. Finally the moment came we turned what felt like the same corner but suddenly we had made progress in the game and everything felt different and out thought loops out of the game stopped as well. Later that night as we were trying to sleep coming down I remember hearing the girls voice in the game(alma) whisper something to me and it sounded like it came from the other room in my house. Freaked me out so much I was about to wake my friend up but nothing more happened and I drifted to sleep. 8(

aside from being a source of music, i dont like computers when im tripping. they seem too artificial and cold, and tend to look way too normal to fit with the magical world im in. tv is okay, but anything real triggers way crazier visuals than tv. i only really watch tv/movies when tripping if my roommates are all watching something so i can chill with them. it is interesting to analyze commercials and popular shows from a way unrelated perspective though and often fodder for some very funny discussions. as far as videogames go, ill play the only videogame i play when tripping: skate 2 or skate 3, and am really good at it on acid once i navigate the main menu to get in the game

edit: just remembered coming down from a particularly intense mushroom trip with my friend the first time he tripped, after wandering center city for a while we went back to his dorm and played grand theft auto on mute with jazz playing. that was a very winning combo.

lol i had a k hole once where i was on facebook all day then in my hole I was in facebook,
All i could see was the search bar,
Lmfaoooooooooooooooo

yeah, but on youtube and i was looking at one part of the video, or with a software synthesizer just looking at a knob

i read that tv can alter your brainwaves and make you lose concentration, dont know if that applies to crt/other monitors

i have a lot of outdated games that look pretty lame tripping
