Harm Reduction compression sleeves and iv use - is it helpful?

i’m newer to iv use, so my injection site has track marks from me figuring it out and having to redo my shot over and over until i find a vein. i finally figured it out but i’m giving myself a break to heal. but after this week while i’ve been doing it a lot i’ve been wearing a compression sleeve for your elbow to hide track marks from friends/family/coworkers. is this harmful? or maybe helpful? i always clean the site and put a bandaid on before the sleeve to keep the wound clean. but just wondering if i’m harming or helping my veins or its neutral? i’m basically just doing it to hide track marks but also i’m hoping maybe it will help the vein and bruising heal.
