comparing IV coke vs snoritng

I read on an ESPN page about athletes and drug use, that:

"(smoked cocaine) produces a sudden, extreme euphoria, even more intense than that experienced with intravenous cocaine, that lasts only five to 10 minutes." This is from the mouth of a 'Dr. Gary Wadler, a New York University School of Medicine professor'

I found this odd, because I remembered many here at bluelight speaking of the superiority of IV coke to smoked crack. Many who were experienced with both MoAs.

With zero tolerance the crack high feels like nothing can surpass it. It is strong enough for precluding any temptation to look for something stronger. I could never get IV highs that equalled the crack highs I'd had 15 years before, even injecting into the danger zone (above 0.2 g). That's because of tolerance.

I dunno about you, but I've timed it myself, and if you have good coke and you do a big shot, the bell ringer definitely lasts at least a good 2 minutes. The inital rush about 10-15 seconds, but I can tell you for sure if it's a good shot, it's only about 2 minutes later or so that the bell ringer will start fading away.
And about the 30 min high, that's only if you're still on the first 2-3 shots or so. I find that doing about 3 shots spread out over a couple hours will have me sky high for at least a good 2 hours (and I mean high as a kite, not even thinking about doing another shot within that time period). It's only on the 4th or 5th shot that things start turning ugly...

The post you're talking about gave me the impression that the rush lasted 10-15 seconds and the heavy euphoria lasted another 2-5 minutes.
 
IV crack for me lasts about a couple of minutes with the echoy head and the sick stomach and racing heart, then you feel wired for about another 10-15 minutes.

IV is a different animal to snorting coke & different again than smoking crack. I never got the 'superman hearing' smoking crack.
 
Thought I would weigh in here to add that I remember an old BL thread on the same topic which described:

Snorting = like riding a bike
Smoking = like driving a fast car
IVing = like trying to hold on to a rocket

I went back to snorting speed after IV'ing it a few times. I found snorting it was more in line with what I wanted to get out of the drug, i.e. increased productivity. Snorting it gave me some euphoria and a lot of energy, whilst IV'ing it gave that rush but I was too distracted and tweaked out to sit down and do what I needed to do.

Of course, I haven't IV'ed any opioids or cocaine or anything yet, so it quite possibly could be different once I get into that game.
 
This title made me (nervously) LOL.

Sonrting coke gives you great feelings of you being the number one man. The most powerful, godly gift to the world. Not so much about direct euphoria as it is a high the gives feelings of greatness and power.

Crack is like every mollecular aspect of you'rself is explodding in unrivaled pleasure and a intence rush that must be experienced to be belived. The high is no longer you thinking about how great you are, you are only going to be foccusing on that ellucive high that you are going to experience again that night after you'r first hit. It's a degrading expencive horrific drug. And makes snorted cocaine look like red bull.

IV is essentialy the smae, perhapes a bit more intence with the added "Bonus" of scared vains, HIV and everything else that can go wrong with IV drug use. Have fun with all that on top of one of the worst depressing come downs know to man.

P.S. I know IVing doesnt mean you will get HIV or any diseases if you have half a brain but rly, fuck cocaine (my oppinion) and deffinately fuck any means of use apart from OCCASIONAL snorting.
 
iv coke feels alot smoother and id RATHER shoot it then snort it any day of the week. however id rather turn it down any day of the weak. coke SUCKS COCK compared to dope (meth). and iv meth.....thats where its at. thats also where the devils at.

On a side note : You have contributed in all of my threads and have given great replies, you are a very contributive, well informed poster and I appreciate this and allthough I am new, if more are like you this is truely a great site. I used to post on totse allot and it seemed to be more of a social pissing match than a drug discussion.
 
I started out shooting H....and was later intoduced to shooting coke. Soon after I didnt give a shit about H, I only used it to come down from the coke. My addiction was fully just shooting coke. You can't get enough of it, and the amount of time you spend enjoying it is just too short...which makes it a terrible habit.

I've never had bell ringing last more than 50 seconds. I must say though, it is THE coolest thing to listen to some good music right after the shot goes into your blood. Everything sounds metallic and robotic. Thats the main reason I would shoot up. But the jittery crave is the worst feeling in my opinion. I havent shot coke for 2 years now and just thinking about the whole act makes my palms sweat, my stomach turn and my hands shake. Not to mention it makes me feel like I need to shit.

It is also really really dangerous to miss a shot and easy to od on with the right amounts. Don't miss those days at all. It completely ruined my ability to use drugs without having panic attacks, as it messed with my heart so much. Does anyone else get dry heaves when they do too big a shot?
