[faithfully dangerous]

its when you're under the influence of certain things,
you have that certain mindset---
that make things seem even more real and sincere when they happen.
although... i am
easily fooled,
easily misguided,
easily lead on,
easily trapped.
easily misdirected.
and
i'm scared to fall,
im scared of it all,
scared of the lies,
scared to even try-
i have a
dependency on nicotine and caffeine.
fiending.
well we all need something to turn to once in a while...
and people may not always be there,
but the substance will never turn its back on you.
i've found myself
pondering my past
and criticizing myself.
couldn't sleep 'cos i crave you too much,
couldn't forget your touch---
dreams are dreams and won't ever come true,
especially when they are dreams of you.
...i feel better now,
amphetamines kicking in---
whats better that a cocktail of coffee, camels, and cheap speed?
nothing.
life's looking a little BRIGHTER on this side.
