Hi all, longtime lurker finally registering. I've followed BL and Erowid since their inception while I was in high school (just for reference, it's been a while since I graduated college) (I've also been a longtime lurker on various other forums which need not be named) and feel like it's finally time to come out of the shadows and help spread some knowledge and well, contribute. I have been practicing methods of mind-expansion (with and without the aid of plants & chemicals) since I was a young teenager, so I guess the term "psychonaut" would apply. Research chemicals have a very special place in my life and I would like to help the community gather knowledge about them - I've been actively involved in the research chemical community (I truly hate the word "scene") since 2011. Chemistry was not my major in college, but sometimes I think about going back to study pharmacology, which I think is fascinating - I think it's amazing how one's body chemistry can change the effects of a drug, I can spend hours reading TRs and will be submitting my fair share here soon enough. I'm a Burner, got dragged into that community several years ago by a friend who never shuts up about it (should sound familiar to some of you), made the pilgrimage to TTiTD for the first time last year, been doing regional events since 2011 and I'm working with a group to get one set up in my area - I am a behind-the-scenes/ support staff type, not the obnoxious, in-your-face type... usually. 
I love psychedelic art (Alex Grey, Luke Brown) and music (Shpongle especially, anything touched by Simon Posford is gold IMO, I think I would turn into a giggling idiot if I ever got to shake his hand) - music is very important to me and I enjoy a wide variety of genres; I practice yoga almost every day and my ultimate goal is to teach, I love it that much. I am a Gemini and thoroughly embody the stereotype: I am a walking contradiction. I am a cynical hippie and prone to taking myself entirely too seriously. I am definitely one of those people with their head in the clouds but both feet firmly rooted to the ground. Finding happy mediums is my specialty.
That'll have to be good enough. If my tone comes across like I know some of you, it's probably because I've been reading your posts for years. Please excuse my familiarity.
