Hi, bluelight, I used to lurk this forum back in 2016/17, when I was new to the game. A recent vein condition I got from slamming methamphetamine lead me back here. I've tried multiple Google searches for collapsed veins, clogged veins, and other vein conditions lead to no real conclusions telling me just what exactly happened to my vein. I remembered bluelight, and knew I could come here for answers. This pressing issue with my vein, and my thirst for knowledge, means I've got to get out of my shell, stop lurking, and stop being shy.

Here goes.. I'm Frost or Nova, either-or will do. Frost for my favorite season and cold demeanor, Nova for my fascination with space, and my explosive anger from pent-up emotions. When you combine the two, Nova represents the death of a star, and Frost the absence of heat, you create my favorite thing in the universe: a dead star, so dense it reflects no light, and no warmth: a black hole, or as I like to call it, thanks to David Bowie, a blackstar.

I'm a blackstar, just as he was.

hi nova, may i ask, what issue do you have regarding a damaged/collapsed vein ? i have been IVing for 15 years and hav a DVT (deep vein thrombosis) in my right leg. i still iv in my leg (groin to be precise). doctors have told me if i don't stop i'll lose a leg. this does worry me, but i love injecting crack and heroin more than life itself. i was just wondering what had happend to you as i might be able to, if not help, then at least listen and know what you're going through. let me know.

Some sort of blow out. Made a perfect hit but a portion of my arm burst in pain and inflamed before going numb. Now the vein feels like a cord and there's a lump that formed along an intersection to a branching vein.
 
Nova, have you asked for emergency medical help ? because, and i know me saying this serious is stating the obvious, but it sounds serious. i had an abcess in my arm, years ago and i had to go to the dr's to get some antibiotics. it got rid of it though.

I've had it looked at by a psychiatric physician's assistant and he said there was no need for urgent care.
 
can i just confirm that it's an abcess caused by a missed hit ?
 
Garym, you should get that confirmation by seeking professional medical advice because we are not qualified to make that determination.
 
An abscess from injecting is an infection caused by dirty equipment/gear/person. Not something pleasant to experience and definitely requiring medical attention! ? As white rose rightfully says, we cannot give medical advice but the OP seems to be describing a collapsed or blown vein which are more of an annoyance than an acute issue.
