I know it’s not quite the same but I healed from over a months worth of high dose risperidone pills before.
I read people who took them 6-9 months to fully recover from risperidone pills. It’s seem tha Risperidone is one of the most if not the most trash drug you can ever take. The one with the most side effects who last longer, as i said there is this user “RisperdalHater” from surviving antidepressants, it took to him 14 months to full recover from 7.50mg single injection.

I took 2 injection, the double amount compared to him, and i my dose was 50mg twice, so it’s more than 10x times his dose, 12,5x his dose.

14 months for a single 7.5mg dose is crazy, so it may take even 28 months for me if i considering i got 20x his exposure (2x times his number injection and 12x times his dose)

This is what I found for now. @RisperdalConsta50mg @jrturp
Many years ago I was put on risperidone injections. (risperidone metabolize into paliperidone) I left the hospital a few months into the treatment and a month or so after the treatment ended I did in fact notice something strange. This all passed though, I was able to recover completely soon after.
@Gdvffh
When i was on risperidone it was hell, laying in bed all day not showering and just be on my laptop all the time, not going anywhere and just feeling like shit always. But ya i made a full recovery. When i say full recovery i mean FULL recovery, it felt like the risperidone thing was just a bad dream and it was hard for me to believe such a thing really existed. So if i recovered once, why not a second time. I remember the recovery was gradual, i think i kind of just started doing more things on my own even though i still felt like shit, since i got used to feeling like shit all the time and just accepted my faith and figured i mind as well just try even its kind of shit. Then one day i just realizied i recovered a 100%.Wow you're still suffering 5 years later thats crazy and scary. Ive personally recovered 3 times so far. I recovered from risperidone. Then i recovered from abilify. Then i recovered from flupenexiol. Each recovery took me around a year. But i only got 1 abilify injection and i took risperidone for like 3 months. Then flupenexiol i took 2 injections of it.
Im currently back on flupenexiol and ive been tsking it for a year now. Now im a switch to seroquel on april 19th. Ive got off antipsychotics and everytime i get off i get into psychosis. I got put on a community treatment order which has expired now. Now im taking as i xont want to get in psychosis again. End up in mental hospital again and end upvon community treatment order again. My plan for when i get put on seroquel is to cut the pill in 4 and take a quarter a day. Im hope i can return to my old self by doing that and not get psycho

With Risperidones counterpart, Risperdal Consta, the half-life is six days vs Invega Sustenna's 49. Still, recovery from Risperdal Consta can take a while. Took me over 10 weeks to recover. And following that ten week period was terrible withdrawal that led to panic attacks and so on. I really don't like pharmaceuticals and I consider the people making these drugs to be domestic terrorists. Not sure how there are positive reviews out there considering it takes away even the most basic of motor skills. I'm pretty sure I could hold a job better if I had down's syndrome than on any of these drugs.

Gdvffh did not get the injection but pills. @jrturp @RisperidalConsta50mg

This is certainly your opinion but that is all it is, an opinion. Believe it or not, not all psychiatrists push injections on their patients.

I completely understand that Invega, and other long acting injectables, are poison and should be avoided if possible. But this boils down to individual psychiatrists, not all of them. And I argue that overall, psychiatry has helped far more people than it has hurt. We just don't hear about the success stories because those folks are out living their lives instead of posting their experiences online.

And just to share my own experience, I took several Risperidone injections while locked up in a state hospital. The second I was discharged, my psychiatrist immediately took me off the injections and put me back on pills. Yes the injections were a horrible experience and yes it took me around a year to recover. But I did recover and here I am, nearly 20 years later with those days as a distant memory in my mind. Well not quite so distant because I always draw on those memories in my attempt to try to give hope to people on here.

So no, I do not believe psychiatry should be avoided by everyone at all times. They can and do save people's lives every day. We do however need to remain vigilant and advocate for ourselves by not only questioning our psychiatrists but being active in researching the medications they are recommending and not doing something we do not feel comfortable with doing.

10 week to recover from risperdal consta? I don’t think this is even biologically possible, btw he says it take to him around a year to recover, and that is a pretty quick recover, because from what i find in those 15 months of research the average time is 18 monta (1.5 year) and some people take even 2 years to recover (24 months). Very little people keep having effects after 2 years, but usually those messed up their brain with continuous exposure to street drugs and other psychiatric drugs, and maybe they already had some health condition or issue.

The fact is that for my specific case they bombed me with the maximal aviable dose twice, this is what scare me. 15 months after i don’t had any improvements, i just got tinnitus at 13 months. Everybody at my place would be scared and hopeless.

For me it’s a matter to reach 18 months, then 24 months to see what happen. I don’t have other options.

I was surprised too, but maybe they had lower dosage or it might also be pills, I don't know it's what I could find. The people you found that has recovered later, did you know how much mg they got injected with?

Keep those recovery stories coming. Gives me hope.
I lost 55 pounds . i been off invega for a more than a few years now.
it takes time to recover.
i'm not fully there (because of weight gain) but i am almost there.
oh yeah, i just found out that i am diabetic now and it seems like it probably caused by invega.

I don’t know, they dont talk about how much injections and wich dosage they got, what they usually says it’s “it took me around 1.5 year to feel better and 2 years to feel normal again” as a reply about this same question “people who recovered after antipsychotic injections?”

What was your dose and number of injections?

Btw we are accepting the unacceptable, it take times to recover is one thing, taking years to recover is a completely different thing, it take times it may be some months, but there is no way it take years to make a partial recovery. This is biological terrorism.

Today I felt caffeine stronger than other days, a bit of euphoria, it's not much but more than what i've been used to. Can't wait to feel it's full effects when I recover. Life is so tough like this.

i am mostly recovered. i am on other meds. i am now a diabetic person even though i lost some weight. it's weird.

the symptoms are the same ones that everyone else experienced. i used st john wort pills to remove invega from the body. you should do the same.
Hi.Is Saint John wort the only meds you used? Are there others

thats all you need if you are on invega.
maybe green powder shakes are good too.

st john wort is the best in the game when it comes to removing invega from the body. you feel less paralyzed. you will be able to walk again. trust me.
