Coming off Invega/Xeplion (paliperidone) injections v11

I play video games and do creative hobbies just fine, my partial hospitalization program had art therapy and it was the only therapy I was able to do without feeling awful mentally about being in inpatient

Before risperidone I used to run 50 miles a week, now I have no energy to workout. Hopefully that gets better soon

I’ve recovered like 40% maybe…
Congrats on being almost halfway there. When did substances like caffeine/nicotine start working again? Trying to figure out how long it’ll be until my ADHD medication works again

Substances don’t really work properly yet. I haven’t tried those, just alcohol. I don’t use caffeine or nicotine but I tried drinking last weekend and I felt a little bit but not much.

Do you know if tinnitus is permanent? And what about altered state of consciousness (being fewerish/blunted/drunk-like/inside a dream), is this also permanent?

My doctor told me that I shouldn’t be feeling the risperidone anymore 4 months later, that the emotional blunting isn’t caused by the risperidone this long after…
It is,tell you doc of others that are suffering. Take screencap peoples post and used it as evidence. Taking information from the recovery list.ask for it to be posted

Took ritalin again today. Have not noticed any benefits. Not worth it tbh just off injections, maybe it will work better in a few months. Gonna stop taking it for now. Probably not good for recovery anyway.

31 days since my last injection and generally have a positive mental attitude. I was very depressed when I knew I still had to take more injections. Only up from here for me hopefully.

I defo have it easier on abilify. I took flupenthixol for about 3 weeks which is a full dopamine blocker like paliperidone and it was unbearable. This was maybe 5 months ago when i tried switching meds as I still had some psychosis. I stopped it because it was horrendous.

Abilify is a partial agonist, meaning it slightly stimulates dopamine receptors. I think that's why I am not struggling as much as everyone else.

I still have some pretty major anhedonia and medium level restlessness. But I feel far more functional than I did with Invega.

I hope we all get through this and post our recovery stories to help give people who get injected in the future hope. Stay strong everyone. You can make it and come out stronger.

Thought I’d come back and share an update:

My nose was
Unblocked for a week
But couldn’t sleep due to anxiety issue of course
As haven’t slept 90 days

So then it starts to get clogged again , it seems like I have very bad allergies.

Im going to get some melatonin to try promote sleep

But breathing doesn’t feel like a cement wall right now..
still very irritable though

Did you get a confirmation?

There’s no way to confirm anyone on this forum has died unless a outside source(friend, family, etc) logs on and informs us they have actually passed.

He said he would do it, was on nearly every single day before he did it, and has not returned even online once after he said he was going to do it.

At the very least it was the death of his bluelight account, and for someone who often logged on to voice grievances with the “medication” he was poisoned with, he no longer does it at all. He’s gone.
