my sister wants so bad to prove me wrong that she’s telling me no way your receptors are blocked cuz i studied that they get renewed blah blah blah like i am the one fucking feeling this.. some people just need to shut up
I mean that's what APs do. They will be unblocked eventually

I've also seen on Reddit that it helped someone but isn't it an MAOI? Heavy stuff to get off
yes its an maoi and its a very potent antidepressant that works well for anhedonia. Ive been to 5 doctors who refused to give it to me. But there is a workaround. You can get a generic parnate made in India called trivon for very cheap and you dont need prescription. More often than not its the real deal but you can run into scammers who just run away with your money or sell you fake pills. Im taking a risk and will update you all if it works for me.

Yeah sounds like quite the risk man.

Antipsychotics dampen the production of neurotransmitters as well as blocking receptors. It just takes a while to go back to normal, or mostly normal. It doesn't stay in your brain forever.

Ordered some parnate. It should arrive in 3 days. I pray it works, will you guys know.
I know it doesn't work the same way SSRIs do so it shouldn't cause the same problems, but just be careful with any antidepressant. Be aware of side effects and signs that it's not going to work for you. Know that MAOIs can cause sexual dysfunction but I never heard of it causing PSSD.

Moclobemide caused erectile dysfunction and severely delayed/absent orgasm too. Aurorix they call it, it's a reversible MAOI (RIMA) and for me it got rid of a lot of depression but the sexual side effects were insufferable. I can't imagine jerking off for more than 4 hours only to get off and it didn't even feel as satisfying as taking a piss. I almost felt nothing. Really there was nothing.

These drugs are the worst offenders when it comes to SD and ED, they make life difficult in the bedroom, and that needs to be discussed by anyone prescribing these drugs. No one ever mentioned Aurorix causing ED, but in my case it did, and it was pretty profound. You can't take any other antidepressant with it either, so no Avanza with this one. So, you're out of luck and there is no recourse except to get off the drug and hope your depression doesn't return with a vengeance.

yeah maoi typically dont cause pssd although they do increase serotornin. its just they work very diffrently from ssris. My last psychatrist prescribed me zoloft and i literlly declined because of your experience.

Including myself, three people on this forum that I know of had a similar reaction to an SSRI after invega sustenna. There were probably people before me, I saw someone mention others had been slowed down by an SSRI when I was trying to find information. I think exposure to antipsychotics increases the risk for PSSD because antipsychotics interfere with your brain's ability to increase serotonin and dopamine after an SSRI leaves your system, or it can't upregulate receptors as fast as it should.

I'm glad you didn't take Zoloft. It's not safe after or with antipsychotics. I don't know why they get prescribed together sometimes. If my posts saved one person from the hell I went though or if they saved someone who was unlucky enough to go through the same things I did, I'm glad because it gives my suffering a purpose.

I'm doing much better, by the way. I'm in a better place than I was before my healing from invega got derailed, at least in most ways. Up and out! It's possible that the kind of PSSD you get after a brief stint with antipsychotics+SSRI is actually more likely to heal because it happened because of artificial means and not some sort of issue with your biological makeup. All of us have improved, including harmedbypsychward.

Being high has become fun again and my thoughts are more fluid. I used to feel pressure right in the middle of my forehead when I got high but now it's diffuse and tickly, mostly in my right brain.

I bought this cbd cart thats 30% thc and 60% cbd and im not high at all. I feel weird but no euphoria or high. I guess this confirms it that weed still doesnt work 9 months off.

I'm 5 months off and I get something from THC, but it's not the same as it was in the past. No euphoria but music sounds somewhat normal

I smoked when i was 2 months off and it was 60% thc and music sounded hella good but i grew tolerence hella quick and it was only temporary. I might try another cart around the 50-65% thc range but no way im doing anything higher and risk psychosis. I just want the euphoria back, what the fuck did invega do to our brains holy shit.

Yeah I'm gonna try keep it once a week to not build tolerance

Weed has been feeling better and better for me but it makes my PSSD act up so I need to stop it.

It's very enjoyable now, a little euphoric in the beginning.
