not really at this stage.

i handle it by taking more vitamins and i inhale cannabis concentrates. i have the ability to get high. i am not turned on by pornography but sometimes i can get aroused. it is a slow process. hopefully , in a year from now, i will have a girlfriend and by then, my invega problem will cease to exist.

i can tell i am slowly recovering but i am still overweight.

it will probably take 8-15 months for invega to flush out of your system.

st john wart does kind of speed up the process, it removes it out of your bloodstream faster. plus, it allows you to walk more which is good for you. there is less pain on the body.

get off INVEGA ASAP. it is poison.

Katrina, thank you so much for coming back and telling your recovery story. I’m sure that means a lot to all of us going through suffering right now. Its so good to see that you’re able to get back all of those amazing things that make us human. Invega can really lie to us and make us feel like we’ll never get our deep thinking back and intellect. I’m curious though, do substances work for you? Like caffeine, marijuana, and/or alcohol? Also how many shots did you receive? I understand you may not partake in those things cause for some people it can trigger psychosis again. But I’m sure a lot of us are wondering if substances will work again once the brain is fully recovered. Best wishes and happy your are recovered! Thanks again for coming back and updating us.

I am 7 months off Invega and unfortunately do not feel the affects of Adderall anymore. I am worried this is permanent. I am on disability as a result.

Coffee works and I can suck it down all day again. Alcohol works too, although I tend to avoid it since I was using it as a depressive agent to try to stop my second psychosis. I can enjoy a glass of wine and feel nice with dinner. I am not a big marijuana user, but I did hang out with some old friends a couple of months ago and smoked some on a hike. It did get my thoughts on a lot of psychosis tracks, but i was able to successfully avoid those, although a lot of enjoyment was lost in having to do this. I did also have moments of reset perspectives and wonder just like in my old smoking days as a youngster ( I'm 33 now). Wow, and that shit sure is different now that it's legal in WA. For effectiveness, I would say 100%. If you've had psychosis, I'd say watch the hell out, although I could see paths to training and reasoning your brain out of off track lines of thinking, within reason.

Has even crossed your mind the fact that the majority of people who recover from this want to leave it behind them? No? Thought so. How many old members who recovered do you see around here? Try to appreciate more rather than adopt that attitude.

I'm talking about the shot. I was on 156 mg for 4 months. I have been on the pills too but you can fully recover from them in less than a month.

Yes the weight goes back to normal, your digestion system goes back to normal, everything. I went days without a BM on invega, everything I ate seemed to go straight to fat deposits. I gained about 40 lbs. A year after I got off the shot I got a physically active internship and the weight melted off, and it stayed off, I was down to a size 4 by the summer (18 mos off). I'm 33. If you're still ON it, I do not think it's possible to lose weight.

Has anyone seen the advertisements for invega, like on their website? I think it's kind of funny how everyone in their ads is so obviously not on it

I have a problem that I didn’t have before invega. I feel fearful all day long as if something badly will happen or people are going to hurt me or things are in my house. I tried anxiety pills but I have to take a lot to eliminate this fear but I don’t want to depend on medicine. If I don’t take it I feel strong fear even I don’t trust my children that’s how bad it is. I need help and no doctor can help me. I hate this feeling please help me.

It may be 2nd round or rebound psychosis. It would be good to contact a psych and make a plan that doesn't involve a shot. AP pills can help these feelings be managed, and then have no lasting effect once you are off them. But dont wait until it's too late...the worst thing that can happen is that you go off the deep end and end up with the shot again.
My therapist and I put together something called a Mental Health Advance Directive. It's a signed document that instructs any professionals what to do in case you are incapacitated. You can instruct them to never give you a shot. You can even instruct them to not treat you. You can also designate someone to make decisions on your behalf in this document.
To be clear, I haven't been on the shit since Jan 2019. I had rebound psychosis in Mar 2020 ( around the same time off as you) ended up in the ward involuntarily, was on invega pills for 8 days and straightened out. I have not taken anything, or had any psychosis since then. But I have been working with a therapist regularly.

How do you know?
You go into panic mode in ms. And then you concentrate only on that fear and not what caused it.

How physically active were you? I’m starting to exercise moderately 30 min a day is that enough for the weight to come off? Was it the exercise that melted the weight off or time passed? PLEASE HELP ME

yes it goes don't worry about it just watch your diet .. i gained weight from invega and now two years off it i lost all unnecessary weight gained

i'm worried more about the anhedonia

i have a theory that maybe drinking epsom salt mixed with water increases the discharge of the poison from the body but everybody need to be careful with it and read carefully about it and should not have additives like the ones they used for bathing just pure epsom salt with no other ingredient

The best thing I did to get rid of the Anhedonia was FROM THE GETCO I had a boyfriend who was super supportive and took me out around town and kept talking to me and keeping me healthy and exercise as much as I was able. I also had his friends I talked to frequently. So the key is HAPPINESS KEEPS THE ANHEDONIA AWAY.

I was on monthly court-ordered Invega injections for 3 years total with 117mg, and I'm 33 now. I was on the injections for one year, then was off of them for 5 months, then back on it for two years because I kept getting taken back to the mental facility and being put on court order. I've read through this thread and the previous much bigger thread and alot of people were saying that it ruined their lives and shit, and that some of them if they didn't get better after some time were going to be 'checking out' and killing themselves, and they mentioned how much they were on and I've been on it a lot longer than them, so I was thinking if it ruined their lives, then where the hell does that leave me?..I've also looked at another message board where people talked about having taken Invega and how much they were on and found 8 people who've been on it for longer than me with the same or higher doses.

People mention that it makes them feel emotionless and zombified, and that they gain a bunch of weight and have low sex drive and stuff, and I'd say I definitely have some of that. It definitely isn't the same as it was four years ago before I was on it, and I did gain a bunch of weight as well. During the time I was on it I was still able to work full- time almost two and a half years total at several different jobs, and was able to do some online school at other times and during some of the times that I was working too. I think that most of psychiatry is bullshit and hate that they put me on those injections for that long. I think that one time in the mental facility they even gave me a loading dose for no reason when I was still on the regular monthly injections because they're stupid. I'd like to sue these people for millions of dollars for putting me on it if I could.

I'm looking for ways to detox from it, and I've been taking some vitamins, St. John's Wort, and CBD, and have been trying to work out more. I was even looking to do things like shrooms, coke, or ecstasy to maybe try to 'reset' my dopamine receptors, and have done a bit of shrooms already. I was also looking to maybe take a dopamine agonist or something, but it seems like they also have quite a bit of bad side effects. I'm sure there has to be at least someone on Earth who knows the best way on how to detox and recover from this. If anyone has any other suggestions on how to undo the damage of Invega and to detox from it let me know..
