Zombiemode it gets better if you wait long enough. You have helped me get thru this zombie! They are not still forcing you to take this anymore are they? So you still have a chance to recover 100 ppercent! I'm at month 4.5 and today I woke up with a pleasant feeling in my mind which tells me I am getting it back. You will get everything back if you just wait! This life is all we have as far as we know, we must treat it as such and do everything we can to live it. Even if our lives are taken away and we must wait several of Earths orbits around the sun. Just wait! You will recover my man!

I take 5 mg of Abilify daily. But as for my anxiety, it has pretty much all gone away except for when I take supplements or caffeine. For some reason I can handle caffeine or supplements when the Invega Sustenna seems to dip down.

Iridescentblack, did you go down to the 1.5mg of Invega in pill form, or did you get off of the injection cold turkey. How long did you receive injections for and how much? I'm currently receiving the 156mg monthly.

Hey guys/girls,

Unfortunately I don't have much to offer in the way of a recovery story/progress. I was hoping to make each of you feel better by reminding you that it could be worse...

As some of you have seen i have been forcefully injected with antipsychotics for the last year. Maximum possible dose. This continues.

. I would always meditate for the last 6 years, daily. He said i am psychotic and that we "have" thoughts, not "hear" them.
Love always,
Zombie

Zombie, my story differs in that I knew exactly who was harassing me and watching me and why. I received direct and indirect verbal harassment. People were actually getting info on me and then acting out voices to make fun of me. I'm in the same situation now, though, which is why I can relate. We're both being medicated because of a misnomer about "voices". I say hang in there, eventually we'll both find a way to get off Invega.

PhuckInvegga, did you go cold turkey off the Invega Sustenna like the others? How long were you taking it for and how much? At what key points did you experience withdrawal symptoms? Do you think moving to a tropical climate would help? (like Florida or California).

iridescent black.....do you take antidepressants or anything like that? do you have anxiety as a side effect?

I am really worried I ll never be the same again. I didnt recover 1 per cent and its been a year for me. This drug really ruined me. the worst is the anxiety. God please help us ....

Tina3000, what was your strategy for getting off Invega? Did you go cold turkey? (I read that you were using benzos for the anxiety) How much Invega Sustenna were you on and for how long? What happened along the way at 1 month, 5 months, 8 months? I read somewhere that if you taper off an antipsychotic along with another pill used to control the side effects of the antipsychotic, that you have to taper off the antipsychotic first. I'm on Seroquel in addition to Invega Sustenna. But the same site suggests that for a depot injection like Invega Sustenna, that you don't need to taper it since the half lives are so long and vary. http://www.mind.org.uk/information-...-coming-off/planning-withdrawal/#.Vz8wTVLD-SH

What does everyone think about that?

Are they still forcing you to take these meds? i am so sorry...what kind of side effects do you still have??? tina love goes out to you

@treesaregreen I don't remember every single dose I got. 117 mg I think was my starting dose; did that for a couple months and then moved up to 156 mg. Moved back down to 117 mg a few months later. Ended the Invega Sustenna after 12.5 months of taking it by switching to oral Invega as I was no longer getting the shots. Currently taking Abilify 5 mg and Invega 6 mg daily.

There's gotta be an easier way of letting people in on this so I don't have to keep repeating myself.

@ZombieMode as far as I've read I've been on these injections medications, altogether, longer than anyone else here (about 4 years if you include the time on Risperdal Consta). If I can make it. You can make it.

Zombie mode, of course u are not recovering. You are still receiveing the shots. It's possible u will recover of the shots stop... You need to do anything and everything in your power to get the forcible shotd to stop. Fight it in court. Move to a different state then they won't have jurisdiction on you. Don't commit suicide especially of you havnt tried every option of getting through this. You still have options you have not tried

iridescentblack Thank you so much for your info. I know it may be a repeat of what you said before, and I know it might take a lot of effort on these phones and other small devices we have. If I might suggest, you or anyone else with info could possibly provide a link to the page with the old content if you didn't want to type it out again. If you had it bookmarked, you could cut and paste. People could refer back to this page for the info. Just a suggestion and I hope it's not too much to ask. (I could also be mistaken about the best way to do this). Thank you again for your kindness.

Hi Teresagreen. I only had 2 shots of Invega, both in the same week, late December, 2015. Together they added to almost 400 mg.s. I have noticed my mind is resurfacing and my senses coming back very slowly. I'm at month 4.7, almost 3 half lives. The 1st month was by far the hardest. I was beyond anxious, constantly scared/ stressed, By month 3 the fear and depression went away completely, and months 4-5 I have noticed great improvements in the anhedonia. My recovery is nowhere near complete but I can easily go to work, laugh, feel, and think on somewhat deeper levels. Thank God for Netflix otherwise I would be staring at a wall these last 5 months.

Its funny you ask about a tropical place. I am moving to the beach in 2 weeks and very excited about it. I figured it will be the best place to spend the next 5 months of my recovery. Working at a job also helps a lot and makes the time fly by, and if you only make minimum wage like me, there's still plenty of cheap California beaches to live in. Also save money to celebrate when you recover. Whether it be a cruise, a trip to Disneyland, or Vegas, and buy a bottle of whiskey or champagne to save for that day you recover. It will be triumphant.

Yes. I went from very outgoing, having a very large circle of friends to not being able to open up to hardly anyone. Of course, I was bouncing from place to place to place so that made it difficult as well. I know myself and some others are suffering from memory problems on the medication as well. Don't be surprised if this happens to you.

The medication is a shock to the system. You will adjust eventually. I'm not saying you'll feel comfortable on it, but you'll start talking a little bit more after a while.

I used to rap and come up with improv lyrics, never had a problem creating interesting lines, formulating thoughts, or tripping over words until I was prescribed injection medications.

Yes, I experienced the same thing with not being able to talk or formulate thoughts.. This lasted about two weeks after my last injection and has got a little bit better over time, but not that much better and I am 65 days past my last injection..I guess this is just part of the recovery process that is said to take up to a year..which is still hard to believe. I just really hope this poison doesn't cause us any permanent damage, one can only hope it doesnt.. This medication has so many terrible side effects that just seem to linger forever with no improvements.

2 days off Invega tablets. Drug store screwed up my order. And now they're saying my insurance is denied. But my insurance is fine. This is not how I planned on weening myself off the medication. It looks like I'm going back into withdrawals soon because I can't afford to pay $1,000 a bottle.

Also, my lighter got run over by a lawnmower. But that's actually kinda funny.

Alright, nevermind. Just another fucking retarded mix up at the drug store. Nothing unusual. My pdoc's faxing in a notification to switch my insurances... Not really sure why they can't just do that at the damn drug store.

Ho-Chi-Minh Yes! Thankfully! My pdoc was able to get me the medications I needed before my insurance information is sorted out tomorrow. I tell you, this has just been one of those days I'm absolutely fed up with my pharmacy.

Currently DHHS is reviewing cases all over my state and since I recently turned 26, under Obama Care I can't be under my parents' insurance unless I fall under certain categories. Fortunately I meet some of that criteria but in the meantime my insurance is kind of on hold, so to speak.

Thanks for your concern.
