How were my comments on neurochemistry wrong?
"That's actually not true. Delusions are created in the brain by a chemical imbalance, it is actually a neuroanatomical/neurochemical problem."
Delusions are not "created in the brain by chemical imbalance", and you can't show any research that supports stuff. Delusions are created through environmental factors.
I am spanish, I ve spoken with him via mail, I know al that stuff in first hand, thats why I am so pesimistic. He says theres no defined time to heal from this poisons!!
I came across someone who took 10 years to heal via reddit
S
Still waiting for him to tell me his case, but 10 years seems average for me tbh. I would rather 10 years than forever
Does he take any other drugs
Well I would agree with you but you have to be in our position in order to know
You just hit me hard with that “felt that his recovery” because thats all, you can feel that you are recovered in 1 year but I am not talking about feeling recovered, I need a complete recover, an objective one, I dont wanna be able to walk, I want to run like I was able before. I dont want akathisia nor ED, I want everything fucking back!!
He says theres no clue to know the timeline, he says he really believes in recovery
He alao explains really well its functioning
Recovered people objectively have no more ED, akathisisa , or physical weakness
How can you tell your anhedonia is healing? Do you start to just feel better over all and a greater sense of well being?
You just start to get interested and be able to think about things again spontaneously
I felt the same way at first until my boyfriend pushed me and forced me to do a little bit more every day. I’ve been off for only 4 months and I already see progress . I’ve had these same symptoms and issues for the first few months my boyfriend had to force me to push myself each day and truly didn’t believe it was helping which is probably because the changes are very slow. From an outside perspective it was easier to see the progress for him so he continued pushing me and now after months I’m actually starting to be aware of the progress as well. Obviously this may not work for everybody but it dod for me so I am sharing it to try to be helpful but people can listen or ignore it at their own discretion .
That's fair and I'm glad that's working for you. Personally I wish I had not forced myself to be around my friends when I was still suffering from invega, because my demeanor on invega really confused them and I think damaged out relatio ship in the long term
Just got back from running. Feel my heart pumping and adrenaline rushing. Ran at 75% capacity I would say. Not much progress, but I’m keeping the routine running 2-3 times a week. It was a drag I didn’t think I would finish but I kept pushing. No soreness in the legs, nor was I too out of breath. Just slower overall than usual.
I’ve noticed I don’t sweat as much as I used to. Metabolism probably slowed due to invega. I for sure aint running as hard as I was before the injections.
Tomorrow is weights, heavy squats and bench press for reps. I will fight these side effects with all I have
I think it's amazing that you can feel endorphins so soon into recovery.
Did you have memory problems? If so did they recover
Yes I did. Actually I read about a recent study on paliperidone's effect on memory- first time psychosis patients had worse memory on paliperidone than they did before psychosis, while the placebo group improved their memory over time.
"people taking an antipsychotic did significantly worse than the placebo group on three tests: immediate paired-associate recall, total paired-associate learning, and delayed cued recall—tests that measure learning and memory. While those in the placebo group improved on these tests by six months, those taking an antipsychotic actually worsened on these tests so that their performance was even lower than their baseline (pre-treatment) scores."

I’ve been reading on quora that some people hasn’t regained the ability to get high or drunk after years of discontinuation. Fucking hell, if this is true… it will be a major obstacle in my life. I would have to go to tibet and live like a monk. In all seriousness, it will change my social life drastically and I will be severely depressed. Maybe I can accept it if I never get psychotic again. It may be worth the tradeoff
Quora is the worst place, i wouldnt believe a lot that i read on there
Then were you avoiding to expand your knowledge in these fields and just tried to get a degrees like many others? Having a psychology degree is not the same as having B.S. biochemistry degree but I suppose you have it too, you didn't clearly said it.
Are we surprised that the psych major was taught that mental imbalance is a purely chemical problem with purely chemical solutions?
When people recover can they get a good buzz from alcohol?
@Kaatrina ? What do you all think
Yes.
I
It healed someone that was on Invega on Facebook.
I say give it a try.
Please look at the actual research before making a decision to reduce your long term anxiety with psyclocybin. This has all been tried in the 1960s before & it still didn't work then
